Surgeon: I take pride in my work
30/05/2008

Cosmetic surgeons are perfectionists who take a lot of pride in their work, it has been claimed.
The wife of cosmetic surgeon Alex Karidis told the Daily Telegraph that when her husband performed liposuction on her thighs, he was so pleased with the results that he kept congratulating himself.
Nicky explained that she had always disliked her thighs and so, after a year of contemplating cosmetic surgery, decided to go through with the operation.
Commenting on the liposuction, Mr Karidis said: "Any surgeon worth his salt will have pride in his work.
"I derive satisfaction from seeing the work that I''ve done. If I''m happy with it, I''m satisfied - and, obviously, if it''s on my wife, that''s a bonus."
According to Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman, having cosmetic surgery is as common as visiting the doctor these days.
She wrote in the Daily Mail that it would be difficult to name an actress over the age of 50 who has not had some form of treatment.
