Surgery patients 'replicating celebrities'
25/01/2008
Cosmetic surgery patients often request distinct features of their favourite celebrities, it has been claimed.
A survey by The Beverly Hills Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery found that women most wanted eyes like Katie Holmes, lips like Angelina Jolie and a figure like Jessica Biel, reports Reuters.
Keira Knightley''s cheeks, Paris Hilton''s skin and Katherine Heigl''s nose were also named as the top characteristics for females.
"Our patients continue to turn to Hollywood to raise their standard of beauty," said cosmetic surgeon Dr Richard Fleming.
"Our patients want to look rested, energetic and, most of all, youthful like the celebrities they see in glossy magazines," he added.
Among males, the most desired characteristics included George Clooney''s cheeks, Matt Damon''s lips and David Beckham''s body.
Leonardo DiCaprio''s nose and Daniel Craig''s eyes were also mentioned as features men were most envious of.
A survey by underwear brand Bravissimo recently revealed that Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole is viewed by women as having the best breasts in showbiz.
