Surgery website lets users see end results

A new website has been launched which may make it easier for people to make a final decision on whether or not to have cosmetic surgery.

Canadian firm Modiface have created Lift Magic, a site which allows people to view what certain plastic surgery procedures would look like.

After uploading a digital photograph of themselves, users can then see the possible results of various operations, such as a facelift, nose job, cheek lift, dermal fillers or a lip augmentation.

"The benefit of the Lift Magic site is that it allows you to see a retouched version of your photo in literally seconds," said Modiface spokesman Andrew Collins. "It''s easy, fun and virtually effortless."

Lift Magic currently attracts about 30,000 visitors a month, 85 per cent of which are women, stated the Daily Telegraph.

By 2015, cosmetic surgery procedures will have quadrupled to over 55 million in the US, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons has predicted.
