Virginia Madsen: Being a Botox spokesperson is incredible

Sideways actress Virginia Madsen has revealed how much she enjoys being the spokesperson for Botox.

Speaking to cosmetic surgery website Make Me Heal, the star remarked how she believes more people should be as open as she is about the cosmetic treatment.

As part of her role as a Botox ambassador, the 46-year-old spoke to other women who use the injectable and encouraged them to always seek supervised treatment.

"It was such an incredible experience … just being able to talk to so many women," said Virginia. "And we talked about why is everyone being so hush-hush about Botox. Why is it a taboo subject? Why can''t we talk about it in the open?"

According to the actress, Hollywood has been generally appreciative of her new youthful look.

She explained that as she became more confident with her appearance, she began to get more success in the film industry.

Botox is currently the number one procedure in the US, according to figures from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
