A 55-year-old widow has won £10,000 worth of cosmetic surgery in a magazine competition.
Nicknamed by her family as Skeletor, Christine Adams is set to have breast implants, a facelift and an upper and lower eyelift, reports the Hartlepool Mail.
Ms Adams told the newspaper that she has waited 15 years for cosmetic surgery. She explained that her husband''s death had left lines on her face and she felt unable to smile because of her appearance.
"After the surgery I will have self-confidence and I will be able to walk into a room and not be worried that people are looking at me," she said.
Full House magazine told the newspaper that Ms Adams got a third of the overall votes in the competition and that "she really deserved the prize".
Nine out of ten cosmetic surgery patients are female, claims the British Association of Plastic Surgeons.
