Women ditch haircuts for boob jobs

19/08/2008

As the threat of a recession builds, women across the UK are foregoing regular trips to the salon for the latest hair style in favour of a longer-lasting beauty fix, it is said.

According to cosmetic surgery expert Dr Paul Cronin, more women are investing money normally spent in the salon in breast enhancement.

"With salons charging so much for a hairstyle, I''m not surprised women are choosing to boost their breasts instead."

The ''lunchtime lift'' is growing increasingly popular among women who want larger or reshaped breasts without the need for downtime.

"Women love the Macrolane treatment because it gives them instant results, does not require surgery, and it is temporary," said Dr Cronin.

"In many ways it''s like going for a haircut. You can see what is happening and tell the doctor exactly how much to put on, rather than take off."

However, for those who are considering breast augmentation resembling Jordan''s ample bust, implants are recommended for maximum effect.
