It's officially the last week before Christmas and there's no better way to get yourself into the festive spirit than by watching Christmas films. This year we are all about self-care and with Christmas being so hectic, it's important to take some time for yourself. Treat yourself to your favourite meal, run yourself a bubble bath and sit back and watch a Christmas film.

Here's a list of our Top 10 Christmas movies:

Romance, comedy, festive classics, wizards and Jude Law, we've got films to cover ALL your Christmas moods - there's something for everybody!

1. Elf

The best of the best - in our opinion!

Elf is the perfect cheerful and heartfelt addition to your festive viewing list. Buddy fills everyone’s life with joy and fun, set in the magically festive New York City, so snuggle up with some cookie dough and candy canes and soak up the Christmas cheer!

2. Love Actually

The ultimate rom-com - love is all around!

It's 2019 and there's a lot of scenes in this film that now feel slightly awkward, but there is no denying that Love Actually is still a firm favourite at Christmas. You can't help but become invested in each character, wanting to see them have their happy ending.

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Obviously the Jim Carey version.

Is it even Christmas if you haven't watched the Grinch 10 times already!?

3. Home Alone

One for the family - a Christmas classic!

Curl up with the family and watch this beloved classic with a plain cheese pizza. (Mad-cap plan to protect your house from bungling burglars optional.)

4. The Holiday

One of the classics - a great one to watch if you've just been through a breakup and need a bit of ‘there’s more out there to explore’ vibes.

The perfect cosy night in with a box of chocolates (and maybe some tissues) and erm... JUDE LAW, need I say anymore!

5. Miracle on 34th street

Whether you’re a fan on the original or the 90s version (the one with Matilda) there’s no denying that this heart-warming tale of a little girl proving that a man claiming to be Santa is the real deal is one of the very best at Christmas.

P.S. We definitely BELIEVE.

6. Harry Potter

One for you wizards fans

Even those who claim not to be a fan can't help but flick Harry Potter on the TV over Christmas. Plan yourself a movie marathon and watch all the Harry Potter films from start to finish!

7. Scrooged

There’s so many wonderful versions of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, including the Muppets, Jim Carey and even Bugs Bunny, but Scrooged is easily the best non-traditional adaptation. Billy Murray plays a profit obsessed TV exec who is visited by great alternative versions of the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future so if you’re looking for something a little different then this film is for you.

Plus there’s an awesomely inspiring speech at the end to inspire that feeling on helping one another all year round that can’t be missed!

8. Polar Express

Family-friendly magic, follow this magical journey straight to the North Pole to meet Santa Claus with some hot chocolate and your Christmas PJs. Seeing is believing!

9. A Christmas Prince

Head to Netflix for this one - If you are looking for a perfectly cheesy romantic Christmas movie then this is the one for you.

A Christmas Prince is full on Christmas spirit, set in a fictional country and tells the classic fairy tale of a girl who met a prince and fell in love. If you get hooked on this film, there are two sequels that follow, A Christmas Prince The Royal Wedding and A Christmas Prince The Royal Baby.

Join Clark Griswold as he tries to make the best family Christmas ever, a funny and family friendly tale of sticking together during the holidays, no matter how crazy everyone might be!
