We have now opened up availability in Preston via our eConsults: our online video consultations. By using video consultations connected to an established MYA clinic, we feel we can offer a specialist service without losing quality or expertise. To satisfy the growing demand for our services, we are offering daytime, late and weekend eConsult slots for ePreston with a qualified Patient Coordinator in the comfort of your own home.
You can have your eConsult on any device you want; mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. All eConsults are on a secure line and completely confidential but if you want a partner or 18+ friend with you on the call, they are more than welcome. MYA’s e-Consults are up to 60-minute sessions with a dedicated MYA Patient Coordinator, and so we ask that you find a quiet space and limit the amount of potential distractions (like kids!) so we can give you the best experience possible. Make sure you have a strong internet connection that isn’t likely to cut out – for this reason, we suggest using Wifi. If you are using 3G or 4G, you may be charged your standard network rate.
At this moment in time, surgeon consults are not available via eConsult. You must attend for a physical examination with your surgeon and nurse prior to surgery at the ePreston clinic. This gives you a great chance to visit your real clinic and meet your Surgeon and Nurse on the same day.
The First Trust Hospital is situated in private grounds just north of Preston.
