MYA carry out all initial appoinments via eConsult video call. By using video consultations connected to our established MYA Manchester clinic, we feel we can offer a specialist service by promoting convenience and availability. To satisfy the ever-growing demand for our services, we are offering daytime, late and weekend eConsult slots for Manchester with a qualified Patient Coordinator in the comfort of your own home.
You can have your eConsult on any device you want; mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. All eConsults are on a secure line and completely confidential but if you want a partner or 18+ friend with you on the call, they are more than welcome. MYA’s eConsults are up to 60-minute sessions with a dedicated MYA Patient Coordinator, and so we ask that you find a quiet space and limit the amount of potential distractions (like kids!) so we can give you the best experience possible. Make sure you have a strong internet connection that isn’t likely to cut out – for this reason, we suggest using Wifi. If you are using 3G or 4G, you may be charged your standard network rate.
At this moment in time, surgeon consults are not available via eConsult. You must attend for a physical examination with your surgeon and nurse prior to surgery at the Manchester clinic. This gives you a great chance to visit your real clinic and meet your Surgeon and Nurse face-to-face. Usefully located in the city centre, the MYA Manchester clinic is a 20 minute walk to both Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road rail stations. Deansgate train station is a 5 minute stroll up St Johns Street. You can also walk from Manchester Victoria station in around 15 minutes, Deansgate Metrolink station in 5 or use the free metro-shuttle service that runs frequently between the stations and the city centre. For visitors arriving by car, the nearby St Johns Street provides a maximum of 2 hours parking or there’s a large all day underground car park a short walk away at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
Booking a free eConsult couldn’t be easier – all you have to do is make an enquiry through our website and we will arrange the rest. Once you’ve booked your eConsult, you will need to download our Patient Portal (by invite only), complete your medical history and then access your eConsult via the link on your confirmation email.
