A nose job is one of the most impactful cosmetic procedures. Taking around 2 hours to complete it can bring life-changing confidence to patients.
The procedure itself can involve refining the overall profile of the nose, the bridge or the tip. Many of our patients choose the procedure as they are self-conscious about the nose they have inherited or injured. They may view it as being out of proportion or having unsightly bumps.
MYA Clinic in Chelmsford
Our MYA Clinic in Chelmsford is one of our most newly refurbished clinics. You’ll find an extremely comfortable and modern environment, as well as our glamorous team. We are extremely lucky to have highly qualified surgeons performing nose jobs in our Essex clinic.
Depending on what is required, there are two common types of rhinoplasty. Both are carried out under general anaesthetic and take around 2 hours to complete.
Closed Rhino – this involves reshaping the nose without disturbing any of the nose skin. The surgical incisions are made inside the nose.
Open Rhino – this form of surgery uses an incision in between your two nostrils on the columella – the small column of skin that separates the two nostrils
Whichever procedure suits your requirements, you will wake with packing in your nostrils and a splint across your nose. The packing will be removed before you are discharged but the splint will need to stay until around day 10 after your surgery, when it is removed by the clinic nurse (dependant on the advice of the surgeon). We advise that you take 7-10 days off work after your procedure. In some cases it can take up to 1 year for the swelling to fully subside so be patient with your results; you can see before and after photos here.
