Why did you want the procedure?
iv lost weight over the last two years and although i could lose more weight, my chest is almost none existence so seeing as i attend the gym regularly and considering that i had a free week off at work, i thought why not book and go ahead with the op.
Why did you choose MYA?
i did a LOT of research. people need to bear in mind that cosmetic practices like mya and harley have a no of surgeons that have extremely busy schedules. if u want a more personal experience, be prepared to pay more to existing private practices who will be more attentive but cost almost 2k more! I attended a lot of consultations and did all the research on my surgeon. turns out myas surgeon also was part of other practices so i was happy with his experience. Mya also had the available space considering i wanted to book like a mth after i decided to go ahead with the surgery.
How was your consultation?
My pc was great and because i wanted the surgery asap, it did feel slightly pushy to reserve the date however it turns out spaces do fill up quickly and im glad i was looked told. i had to wait for 3 hrs for my surgeon consultation. Although annoying, ppl need to realise that these consultations are free, not to mention the surgeons travel from elsewhere and have extremely packed schedules. My consultation lasted 10 minutes and i dont even think i spoke to my surgeon more than ten words however i researched thoroughly on him and i trusted him 100%. Girls, should want more attention to detail, go with private clinics, my friends that have gone with private literally are told everything however because i wasnt prepared to pay almost 2k more, i did extensive research to ensure Mya gave me same results but i just accepted that the surgeons were less attentive.
How was the day of your procedure?
My recommendation is to follow the rules to the tee. I only had to wait an hr and that was thanks to a lady whom was booked in two hrs before me, ended up drinking water and she had to wait further for her operation. The staff at London hospital was absolutely amazing and attentive and despite panicking on the surgery table, the anaethesia literally took 30secs and next thing i knew, they were waking me up. I was a daycase so left after approx four/five hrs after. My bf wanted to speak to the dr to see how it went, however the nurses advised i culd b waiting ages for my surgeon so i ended ul leaving four/five hrs after surgery. Not once howver did the staff try and get me to leave when I said i wanted to stay. Embarrassing thing was i also left my medication at the hospital and i had to send a taxi for it lol!
How was your recovery?
I am currently 12 days post op. The first 7 days was honestly uncomfortable due to the tight bandages stretching against your skin. My bf also had to help me shower and wash my hair otherwise i couldnt have managed (no i didnt get scars wet). After 7 days i am still in pain as my nipples are extremely sensitive, the incisions are healing well. I gave up on my Macom bra after the first day because it was too tight and the fabric kept making me itch resulting in scratch marks all over my boobs. The Mya nurse also advised i can use comfort bras instead so i wear two just to ensure shapes stay in place. Another thing is Ive been getting shooting pains in my left boob only when i wake up however reseearch suggests this is normal. The shape hasnt dropped yet so i cant wait.
Are you happy with your results?
I keep switchin from thinking they’re humongous to could have gone bigger lol however it is right size for me, im jus not used to them. I definately have a cleavage so i cant wait once it gets softer so i can grab them! and another thing i cannot wait for is to finally start exercising. This sitting around is doing no wonders for my tummy that seems to be expanding every day but i shall attack this problem as soon as and will keep you guys updated..
