• Why did you want the procedure?

  I have always wanted this procedure done, I was very insecure about being one of the smallest sizes possible. I hated having to tie my bikini so tight it was probably close to cutting my blood circulation, and I couldn’t wear all the clothes I wanted too, I was so restricted as I was embarrassed.

• Why did you choose MYA?

  I choose MYA because my cousin recommended them, and I trusted them knowing my cousin had the same surgery.

• How was your consultation?

  My consultation was very quick, 20-30 minutes maximum. Just explains how the procedure is done. If you have any questions or queries that needs to be answered, very useful.

• How was the day of your procedure?

  Day of my procedure, it started as a bit of a nightmare as I couldn’t complete the main stage of the admissions, you have to do a pregnancy test so I recommend you defiantly drink water before you get to the hospital as you can’t drink once you’re there. Besides that the staff were so lovely and make you feel comfortable.

• How was your recovery?

  Operation Day I was in pain, a lot of pain, but it is expected. I was offered the chance to stay in a hotel the night after but refused as I just wanted to get home, the journey was 5 hours so I left through the night and managed to pass most of it.

  Post op days 1 – 6, was very painful and I would recommend having someone there to look after you as I couldn’t get in or out of bed, lie down or sit up without someone helping me. However by day 7, I had small pain but nothing in comparison to last week. Now i’m currently post op day 11 and i’m pretty much back to normal, I can drive but big movements can be drastic. Back to work on Monday.

  Everyones recovery is different though.

• Are you happy with your results?

  I am very happy, currently only 2 weeks post op. Looking forward to seeing  the progress and how they will eventually look after this period!
