• Why did you want the procedure?

  My boobs never bothered me when I was younger but I lost a lot of weight and lost my boobs! I hated them; they just looked empty and unsightly. I knew that I’d have to have surgery to gain them back as I wasn’t planning on gaining weight again.

• Why did you choose MYA?

  I chose MYA because I had previously had consultations with a few companies and I didn’t feel the ‘connection’ with them as I did at MYA. From the moment I walked in to the Birmingham clinic, I knew that I’d feel comfortable talking about my body worries. Everyone made me feel so welcome.

• How was your consultation?

  My first consultation went really well. My PC was really upfront with the costs and the whole process from start to finish. I felt like I could ask any questions at all. I was given all the information I needed and went away to make my decision. I didn’t feel pressurised into making any decisions there and then that I had felt with other companies.

  After I had absorbed the information I was given, I decided to book a consultation with Mr Frati. He was very upfront and told me what was achievable based on my current stats. He offered me 350/375 and 400cc hp overs and said it would be down to me but did give his professional opinion on which size would be best for me. After going away and considering what Mr Frati had said, I booked a second consultation with him. Second time round, Mr Frati offered his opinion and confirmed which size I should go for. I knew there and then that I was going to go ahead and do it!!!

• How was the day of your procedure?

  I arrived in London on the Friday evening as my admission time wasn’t until 9am on Saturday morning. I arrived at Fitzroy, which was a short distance from the hotel I stayed at, and was instantly welcomed by the staff. They were so friendly and the calm atmosphere helped me to relax. I was taken up to my room at round 10am. The nurse came in and introduced herself, asking the necessary questions and explaining to me what was going to happen. I got changed into my lovely hospital attire and waited in my room. The anaesthetist came in around an hour later and told me to get ready to go down! It all happened so quickly but I felt so relaxed. Before I knew it, I was being wheeled back into my room and smiling from ear to ear! The nurses took really good care of me. I suffered with sickness from the anaesthetic but the nurses did all they could to help me feel comfortable, even brought toast and tea! I was discharged later that evening and felt well enough to walk the short distance back to the hotel.

• How was your recovery?

  My recovery so far has been good! The strapping was a pain but it was only on for four days (luckily). I thought I had an infection at one point but the nurse quickly got in touch, removed my strapping and checked my incisions. She was really happy with how they were healing. I’m loving how they feel! It’s amazing to look down and see boobs. The only issue with recovery I’ve had is sleeping upright but I know how important it is for recovery so I’m doing my best to bare with it! I’m nearly at the point where I can lie flat on my back so I’m happy and it’s all gone quickly anyway.

• Are you happy with your results?

  So far? Absolutely! They change day to day but they seem to get better and better. I’d do it all over again if I could. People do say about boob greed and I won’t dismiss the fact that I might decide to go bigger in the future but, as it stands, I couldn’t be happier with the size! Mr Frati sure knows what he’s talking about!!!
