  • Why did you want the procedure?

    I wasn’t going to leave a review but after several unswered texts to my Pc I had a generic text asking for feedback so here it is in a nutshell…

    First consultation my first PC was very friendly and I liked the look of frattis work (closed rhinoplasty). I’m from Cardiff so I saw frati in Birmingham (2.5 hrs away) and was told the op would be in London and post op back in Birmingham.

    Op was booked and traveled 5 hours to London the night before with my parents. Got a call that night from MYA (not my PC) to say the hospitals lift had broken and my op was potentially cancelled. My PC was on annual leave but would call me in the morning (my admission day).

    Next day, nothing. I went to the hospital and demanded to see/speak to a manager. Within 5 mins I had a call to confirm it was cancelled!!!!!! They said it would most likely be 4 days later. I was actually expected to drive another 4 hours back and then go back again. Obviously I refused and on hearing they were operating 2 days later I wasn’t leaving until I was seen then too. A few hours later and numerous chaser calls later I was told how lucky I was that they had managed to fit me in!!!!! This meant an extra 2 nights in London for 3 of us. MYA paid it back a few weeks later but after paying five grand for surgery, another £500 to cough up there and then was fine right?!!! (Plus food etc which we didn’t get back)

    Anyway. Surgery was at 8pm after bein admitted at 2pm. Mr frati had done THIRTEEN operations. Is that even safe? The. Next morning I had a nurse remove the packing, was asked to leave feedback and I left. The feedback reflected the shocking customer service but good hospital care.

    The first time I heard from my PC post op was to question my feedback and she thereafter passed me to another PC. If u don’t want the criticism- don’t ask for feedback!!!!

    I had a few minor nose concerns ( still have a small bump) and my nurse said I needed to see frati. I was then told that frati isn’t in Birmingham on a Saturday and I’d have to take time off work. More time than necessary as my surgery was delayed 2 days and travel time..I work in recruitment and days off= no money!! I’ve been told I have to go to London on a Saturday for my post off, so another 8 hour trip, more money (from the money tree they think I have!!). Had I been to,d initially that I’d have to take all this time off or go to London would I have used MYA… Nope!!

    So nearly 4 months on I’m yet to see frati and MYA aren’t even bothered. I still have a bump and not the curve I asked for.

    Two friends of mine have recently gone with Spire and Charlotte crosbys surgeon and couldn’t praise them more. They’ve seen their surgeons twice within the first month and have regular contact from the clinics. They’ve also been told by their surgeons that MYA pay surgeons 10% of the cost!!!! TEN PERCENT!!!!! No wonder frati had to do 13 ops in one day!!

    So I’m still waiting to see Frati nearly four months on, despite my nurse telling me I need too. As soon as I paid the five grand the customer care declined and has hit rock bottom.

    My advice- Google Charlotte crosbys surgeon!!!
