Hi everyone! Thought I’d give a quick update as I know how much I loved hearing people stories about their surgery day and how they are feeling post op.! Currently as im writing this it’s 4 in the morning and I had surgery in the first trust hospital with Dr mounir on the 11th March. I got here quite late- meant to be admitted earlier and traffic was awful resulting in us being about 15 minutes late. However, the staff couldn’t have been anymore lovely! I had my surgery around 12 that day. I must have cried at least 5 times I think purely 1 due to my nerves about being put to sleep and 2 I was worried i would feel the tube being taken out. However being put to sleep wasn’t bad at all! Of course it is nerve wracking but the staff putting me.to sleep was lovely. I was given a mask and the cannula was fitted. I remember seeing the anaesthetic being put in and felt my throat tingle- almost like pins and needles which panicked me. However before I had time to even worry I was waking up asking if the operation had been done! There was no pain whatsoever whilst being put to sleep and there is absolutely nothing to worry about- this is coming from someone who was petrified of even needles so a genuine answer!! I think the worst bit was waking up and where I had been stitched they felt sore/ stinging however the staff were quick to give me some pain relief. I had no side effects from the anaesthstic- no dry mouth and no feeling sick which I was over the moon about! Went down for surgery at 12 and was back in my room about 1.20. I wasn’t there long at all. I have tried to relax through the day, watch the tv and I have had about 3/4 hours sleep so far. I keep waking up every hour which is frustrating but there is no hospital noises etc I couldn’t even tell I was in a hospital. Nurses are all amazing- made me tea and toast at 2 in the morning! I’m currently in a lot of pain! Boobs are sore/heavy and I can’t move my arms. However with having unders I believe this is common and should start improving after day 3… fingers crossed ! ??? overall my experience has been AMAZING. the nurses are fab, Mr mounir is even more fab and the room I have got is absolutely lovely. I couldn’t have been more grateful. Please anyone worrying about anaesthetic like I did- don’t!! It was absolutely fine and I don’t remember a single thing. Hope this has been a help to anyone getting their boobs done soon and I’ll post more updates while I can!!! Ps I bought the myaxmacom bras and omg… bloody lovely!! Worth every penny.? xx
