I’m 12hours post op. I was wondering if any body had advice about cutting the vest down?? I had inner thighs, flanks and arm done. But it’s digging into my chest and around my upper back. I have no cuts at these points! Also did everybody keep it on 24/7. Can u have a couple of hours rest? The pain is minimal, leaking is quite bad right now and public swelling is horrid! I just want to know how strict everybody was? Will post some pics after my post op meeting with the nurse on Friday.

I am having the same problem, I am 24 hours post op, I had bra roll and upper/lower abdomen done. Sleeping was horrendous. The excess vest ont he upper body is rubbing and causing bruising. I’m going to get the nurse to cut it down tomorrow. Plus no one warns you about how difficult it is to go to the loo! Plus I can’t bend down at all can you? I’m assuming the vest feels tight because of the swelling I’m hoping it’ll go down. Any advise on how to make this situation more comfortable would be greatly appreciated!

@LW89 I got my sister to cut all mine down around my chest and back this morning! I’ve had nothing done there so seemed silly being so restricted when there’s no swelling to worry about!! It’s made a huge difference and even been easier getting clothes to look better. I’m not in pain just uncomfortable with the vest! I’ve also leaked a lot! So the vest feels yuk, think after I’ve seen the nurse on Friday I’ll wash it on Saturday. It just feels smelly.

I just can’t cope with this vest I’m in so much pain and can’t move! I saw the nurse today and she said I can’t trim it down as I need compression for my bra roll at the back. I don’t have a chance in he’ll at doing it back up again on my own and my husband is going back to work tomorrow so there will be no one to help me. Im also not allowed to shower until next week. Surely this gets better? How did everyone cope?

Yes don’t worry it does get easier once the pain and tenderness wears off, did take me 7 days to become independent though, had to have someone to help me with eveything at first

The 4D vest is so terrible…. I bought instead combination of this garmenthttp://eshop.lipoelastic.co.uk/products/compression-garments/vf-body-variant nad a grinder : http://eshop.lipoelastic.co.uk/products/compression-garments/kp-special. Much better and the final result is the same!
