Hi, I am considering an implant and uplift. I have a consultation next week.
I have seen some of the feedback on here and before and after pics and I’m a little worried that I might not get the result I expect or be happy with the results as there are a few people who seem to regret having the treatment. I was wondering if anyone could share my advice or pictures of similar procedures.
    I would really appreciate it
    Thanks
    Jennie xx

Hi Jennie. I’m 9DPO, I had a breast augmentation as well as a mini lift on the right side. I haven’t had my 1st post op appointment yet so I’m still in bandages but so far the size looks great. I’ve not had any pain, just discomfort.
Despite of this, I don’t like my implants (yet). I’m feeling down about not being able to hug my children properly and not be able to to other regular things like lift the kettle and push the pram. I knew I’d be limited whilst recovering but now it’s actually happened I do feel regret. If I hadn’t of had implants I would be doing things like normal.
I’m trying to be patient and chill out! I’m hoping that I’ll feel more positive after my post op appointment (Thursday).
I’m also hoping as time passed I feel better about my choice! Once I get back to normal i hope I’ll feel better too!

I think having a consultation is a good idea as otherwise you’ll always wonder ‘what if?’ Then you might feel stronger about making a decision.
I’m not allowed to post photos as I’m not a MYA patient.

Thanks very much Jo. I hope you are fully healed soon and back to being able to do all the things you can’t do now.
I am really concerned about infections and scarring etc. I am very unhappy with my boobs at the moment but I worry that I may have surgery and dislike them even more if I don’t get what I am expecting. An uplift seems to be a complicated procedure and some people seem to be regretting it due to scars and healing etc so just want to me and sure I make the right choice xx

    No problem.
It’s hard because risks such as infections and scarring are a possibility, but if you research your surgeons and consequently choose a great surgeon then you’re minimising the risk.

I was really unhappy with my boobs as well, it’s such a rubbish feeling! Some people do regret it but then there are lots of people who love their results and wish they’d done it sooner. You’ll never really know unless you take the plunge.
Enjoy your consultation, take as much info from it as you possibly can so that you can make in informed decision xx
