Advice for holiday 7 weeks after surgery

I’m getting my BA done 17th June but I’m wanting to book a holiday 12th August ill be about 7 weeks post opp, nothing too boozy just a relaxing holiday with my mates. Just want some advice on what roughly scars will look like, kind of bikinis I should get, am I able to go into the pool… and if flying after 7 weeks short haul is fine??

I go on holiday 7WPO too.

I’ll be wearing a swimsuit to make sure my scars are covered as they can burn easily and won’t go back to the normal colour – the skin will still be quite weak then.

Ive yet to ask my surgeon about going in the see but I can start swimming between 4-6 weeks dependent on how the scars are healing so I suspect by 7 weeks I’ll be ok. I have my first surgeon post op app 2 weeks before we go so I’ll make sure I get his sign off then.

It will be best to ask your surgeon really as they all have different preferences – for example, I am 9dpo and I’ve been able to shower properly since 7dpo which I know is a no go for most people on here.

It’s weird how the different surgeons give different advice.. I was able to shower after 24 hours x

I was able to shower 24hours after but just couldn’t get the dressings too wet. As of 7dpo I can shower properly without dressings.

I’m going away 6 weeks po and was told by my pc that by then I should be ok to swim, sunbathe and wear underwired bikinis
