ANNOYED! Cheque still not receieved over a year later! Started by: suzyp

    Hi Girls,
    Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem as i’m getting so frustrated now! I had a breast enlargement done a couple of years ago and then a girl i know through family friends really wanted hers done and at the time they had the £150 for reffering a friend. I sent her loads of information reccomending MYA and the different surgeons, she decided to go with them and got her £150 off her surgery but over a year later i am still waiting for mine! I’ve rung quite a few times now and always just get fobbed off, Charlotte will call you back….then never does….. or the one or two times i did get through to her she said she would sort it out with head office straight away and get the cheque sent out to me – four months later and i’m still waiting. Just think it’s awful to be treated like this, i wouldn’t have recommended them to her if i realised the customer service was this bad! Has anyone else had a similar problem with them?

    I went through mya through a friend recommendation and I know she still hasn’t had hers and they didn’t really show any attempts to ask me her full details etc so doesn’t look like your the only one. X

    What a nightmare, i know it’s only £150 but it’s still a lot of money and also when you were promised it you should get it! They shouldn’t have advertised the deal if they had no intention of sticking to it, such a con! Just wish they would say, no we just aren’t going to send you the money rather than keep pretending to then nothing shows up! Oh well, at least i’m not the only one i suppose 🙁 x

    Yeah, they shouldn’t advertise it if they don’t actually mean it! Suppose they just rely on people giving up after thier many fob offs! x

    I suggest taking the matter to trading standard hun. Report it and they will be able to get your money for you. Because it is illegal to advertise for something that is false. Hope this helps x

    yeah that’s a good idea, like you say it’s more the principal now as have wasted time trying to contact them and being fobbed off. Also i like the way they were so eager to help me before my surgery and now they don’t even bother calling me back. Well i won’t reccomend them to anyone else that’s for sure, i’ll tell them to go to Harley Street instead as it’s all the same doctors…. x

    Hi All
    I would like to remind all MYA patients that MYA was forced to remove our Friends and Family Discount Referral Scheme in July 2012 and this was Posted on the forum at this time.
    Sadly the scheme had been open to abuse mainly due to interactive websites and forums. It was such a shame as this spoilt the spirit of the scheme and indeed the benefit for those genuine referrals.
    If you have any enquires regarding this please contact your Patient coordinator directly.

    Hello moderator – yes i appreciate the scheme was pulled but i reffered my customer before you pulled it and she had her operation back in June – i was promised a cheque for £150 and still have received nothing, over a year later. I have called the patient coordinator who has told me she would sort it out but never does and now doesn’t return my calls.

    yes its a shame that people have abuse the scheme but i didn’t and i was due a cheque before this happened so really i’m the one who has ended up being conned. What do you suggest i do to get the cheque that is due to me?

    By the way i mean June 2012 when she had her op and i had reffered her months before that so i was well within my rights to still recieve the cheque. It’s not down to me that others abused the scheme and i have been promised i would receive it but just get fobbed off. i do feel i’ve been misled and ignored since trying to claim the money back.

    Its awful you have been treated this way but you need to fight for it, they want you to give up, don’t though, make noise they’ll soon pay up or write them recorded delivery giving them 14 days to send cheque or you will go to Trading standards and the media or see if you have grounds to take them to the small claims court, it doesn’t cost a lot but it will cost them xx

    @suzyp Have MYA have contacted you directly as you have posted on the forum your concerns? I hope they resolve it quickly as it awful for you and reflects badly on them in terms of their after service wether it be honouring of agreements such as this or patient care.

    Hi girls, no, the moderator posted on this thread but just told me to contact my PC, the one who constantly ignores me or when i do get through to her tells me she’s sorting it and then i hear nothing from her or MYA again. It’s just frustrating. I understand that people abused the scheme but i didn’t and spent a lot of time giving this girl advice about MYA and the surgeons…. wish i’d never bothered now! Maybe i’ll contact trading services then….. xx

    Ah OK feel a bit bad now, they’ve contacted me directly and said they will pay…. Fingers crossed, finally got it sorted. Will let you all know if they do send the payment through! Thanks girls, wish i’d just come on here in the first place xx

    Hi girls, such a shame – they said the money would be sent to my account today but still nothing there. Just wish they’d stop messing me around and actually do what they say they’re going to do. Bank transfers are instant these days so there really is no reason for it….. 🙁

    Don’t give them anymore chances just send them letter now informing them of small claims court and Trading Standards. They need to stop messing people around xx
