Ladies are any of you runners?
I am now 4 weeks post op.
2 weeks after surgery I went to parkrun but power walked and today I did my first parkrun since my op. Still a little early I know.

My left breast has taken longer to heal than my right. Wasn’t sure if it was to do with being left handed, left side dominant so reach up with left arm, carry my bag on left shoulder, use left hand to change gear etc.

Today when running I held my left arm against my left boob all the way around. Definitely need to invest in a new sports bra- any recommendations welcome!

How long until you felt normal when running?

    Hi Gina!
I’m a runner but was told not to run for 6-8 weeks. Now I’m 7 weeks post operation had 300cc under the muscle and I went for a easy 10km this morning, felt completely normal no issues or pain. I bought M&S extra high impact sport bra and I’m really happy with it my boobs didn’t move at all.

Thank you. I was told no running for 6 weeks because of risk if infection but my incisions have healed amazingly well!
I’ll look into the M&S sports bras thank you!

I’ve got the M&S high impact sports bra which is fantastic however I’m 7 and a half weeks post op and running is still way too uncomfortable on my incisions. I’ve joined a gym now! All cardio stuff and weights fine just a no on the treadmill 🙁
