    Hi ladies,

I have only just had my first consultation and was originally just considering an uplift but now I am seriously considering implants too. Can someone please explain what the difference is between having the implants behind the muscle or in front – which in your opinion is better and the benefits and drawbacks etc?

    Thanks! X

Hi Emma. Behind the muscle is for people who are usually lacking in breast tissue or very lean and slender women. Over the muscle is the most common procedure. This is for women who already have a substantial amount of breast tissue. Hope this helps xx

I had plenty of breast tissue but still went under the muscle. Prior to my re org I had over the muscle and I have to say I much prefer under as they look and feel more natural. I was also informed that the under muscle supports your implants much better and will help to slow down the natural sagging process. Good luck, I am 6 months post op now x
