I’m 5 days post op today and starting to finally feel in a lot less pain! However my incisions are very painful, more so when I have my breast band on, I keep having to take it off because I feel like it’s pushing down on to my incisions and is just massively painful! Is anyone else experiencing/experienced this with their breast band? Just want to know if this is normal or if I’m maybe wearing my breast band wrong or if I’ve maybe pulled my incision?

Hey Hun, mine were the same and really painful on the incisions too – I shouldn’t worry too much. You will be able to talk about your worries at your 1 week post op appointment with the nurse. In the meantime don’t try to do too much and sleep with your arms down by your side and a v pillow really helped me. Xx

Hi ladies, i still havent figured out this site prolerly dont even know how to start a thread. @cailin youre the only person iv added as i saw you had your op the same day as me hope you are healing well Im also not friends with the breast band im worried i may have a double bubble and i dont know if the breast band would make it worse although im struggling to find a thread on it and anyone with similar thing. My incisions are a bit above the crease and its like they are creating a new crease one side is slightly worse. I will try to add some pics if you guys would let me know if you think i have double bubble or know of anyone else xxx

Hi @kimmyp, I haven’t had mine done yet. I have Dr Andrea in less than 2wks now!!
From what I have seen and read I don’t think that is the start of double bubble, I think that is where your implants are starting to drop and settle into their pockets. Once they have fully done that your scars should be sitting in the crease of your breast and that area you think looks like double bubble should even out. I think as your scar is obviously under your breast that they sort of protrude out giving the illusion of the start of double bubble.
I’m no expert and like I say I haven’t had mine done yet but that’s how it looks to me.
I can imagine you worry about everything until they have fully dropped and fluffed, I’ll definitely be the same.
If you can, just try and be patient as they’re still so new and can take months to settle down.
If you’re really worried though contact your nurse to put your mind at ease.
Best of luck, I’ll be sure to follow your progress xx

They still feel so firm i always think they arent right but i think its just something we all go through. Good luck for your op hun its over so quickly and simple. Are you excited? I am 8DPO and I have exactly the same still. The breast band is the most annoying thing in the world and feels like it’s doig worse than good. Plus very sore incisions and so itchy. My bra is constantly rubbing so I’m using some thick gauze to rest on them x

I also don’t think it looks like double bubble but you can always send an email to your nurse and attach those photos for some reassurance!

@laurajanesmith Yes i was soo nervous too hun but i couldnt believe how easy it was. They put an ocxgen mask on me and i took a few breaths then that was it i was waking up after what felt like 2 mins and it was done. Pain wasnt too bad at all i was very lucky i didnt feel sick or anything and was up and discharged not long after. I had a very dry mouth for a few days but painwise id say the first few days were the nost uncomfortable but it was bearable. By the end of the first week i was doing most things again x I have 375cc hp round to be honest i am a little worried they are too bog for me i was a small 32 c empty on the top after my third baby 5 mobths ago, hes done a brilliant job and i tjink they will look natural i jist hope they are still swollen and will shrink a little as i didnt want to have really big boobs. Its hard cause iv seen lots of pics of other girls with the same size and they dont look as big so i didnt want to end up too small. They look fine in clothes tho i think taking pics on my phone does make them look bigger xxxx what size are u going for hun? xxx

@kimmyp this fills me with hope for my recovery! I expect pain but I just hope it’s bearable. Not looking forward to sleeping upright and then on my back.
I’m having 400cc unders from a very small 32B. I will have a breast band, did you get one? Xx

@laurajanesmith I did yes hun its not very comfortable if im totally honest that was the most painful thing about the whole process taking it off for a little while every now and again was a big relief. It was hard wearing it the first week or so but im now 16 days and the last few days its been so much better hasnt even really been any discomfort on my boobs but it does hirt a bit a dig in inder my armpits but iv found folding over some sanitary towels or tissue over the band under the armpit helps. iv had to wear mine for 30 days so anlther week and a half. Time has gone fast tho i remember in the first week thinking when will i feel normal and not feel uncomfortable and like i might break my boobs if i move lol but now i have no pain at all bit stiff first thing in morning but once i move around a bit its fine. Sleeping is prob one of the hardest things about it but i have hot used to it and nanaged to seelp okay since im not in any pain any more. At my week check up the nurse said i could lay flat on my back and i was looking forward to it although i always sleep on my side but i figured this was better than sat up but for me personally it was the worst thing i woke up in the early hours and i was in agony everything siezed up all round my ribs and back a d boobs i couldnt actually move i needed my husband to push me up but i got my pillows back and and sat up a nit and went back to sleep and woke up so much better. Some girls may find its fine so its personal but for me im still sleeping a little up and im fine with that for now im scared to tey laying flat again lol sorry for the essay i ramble a bit just trying to give as much info as i can xxxx

    Menu

@kimmyp lots of info is fine with me haha!
I think I’ll be best sleeping a bit raised rather than on my back as I’ll probably end up rolling onto my side by mistake!!
I’ll remember the trick with the breast band under my armpits lol xx
