    Hi,
I have just booked my Breast Surgery consultation for Monday 23rd November at the Leeds clinic with DR Andrea Giannitrapani. Can anyone who has had a consultation with either this surgeon or about this procedure tell me what to expect during the consultation as I would more than likely be going for a full breast uplift as well as having implants & I would be wanting as big a sized breast implant as my body will allow me to have & also acting on the advice of my surgeon as I want the fullness back in my breasts that I had before I lost weight. I wouldn’t want the fake look just the fullness & shape back.

I was a 32 A and biggest he would allow me to go was 320 uhp under muscle as i said i disnt want to look massive just in proportion. I got measured on fri and i measured 30 Dd so im so pleased nurse said they still habe lots of fluffing to do as still quite firm so not to go crazy buying bras as still can change. Thanks for your reply Dawn . Did he measure you at your consultation ?? My breasts have sagged & lost volume due to me losing 6 stone in weight so all the tissue has sunk and caused the sagging. I want the fullness & volume back in my Breasts I had before I lost the weight. I want to go as big as possible. Not after the fake look but I want them to look full, round, ideally the same size & also to have the nipples repositioned higher up. I am currently a small D in size so want to go up to at least an F cup size being 5ft 7 tall I think my frame would suit it but I will see what my surgeon says when I see him on Monday 23rd November.

Hi lovely! I had Dr Andrea on 29th October. He was the only surgeon I saw as I immediately liked him. He is just so lovely, comes across really well and doesn’t beat around the bush. I’ve been told he rarely uses bigger than a 400cc implant as he prefers to give the natural look but if your body will allow you to have bigger then I’m sure he would be happy to give you what you want!

In the consultation he will ask you what you want to achieve – not necessarily size as he’ll tell you he can’t guarantee you a bra size – but more what kind of look you want etc. Then he’ll ask to see your boobs, examine them a bit, take some measurements and feel and pinch your tissue/skin a little bit to see its elasticity. Then he’ll tell you what he thinks would be best for you in his opinion and will ask if you have any questions. It’s really simple and he made me feel so comfortable
I can’t comment on the uplift process at all as I just had a straight BA xx

Hi Kirsty, Thanks for your reply. I have booked in to see a surgeon @ MYA as I previously saw a surgeon with another company about 6 months ago & they just had literally a quick look at my Breasts no measurements taken, Breasts examined or anything like that just a quick pinch of the Breast skin to figure out the size of implant they wanted to use on me. So I have now booked this consultation to hopefully get more of an idea of what I would like. Did you take your own bra with you to try implants out under & a few different styles of tops ?? Also how long did your consultation with the surgeon last for ?? I have a few questions for the surgeon that’s all so I wouldn’t leave until they had answered them all !!

Omg how can they even give you a proper consultation without even examining you properly?!

I didn’t take my own bra no, they have some at the clinic already that you can use as well as some tight fitting vests as well. But you could take a couple of your own tops as well if you want to see the sizers under different clothes.

I think I was in with Dr Andrea for about 20-30 minutes, like you I just wanted to make sure I asked all the questions I had! But then I still had more questions come up a few weeks later so booked to see him again which was fine xx

I know Kirsty that’s what I thought. I was literally in with the surgeon about 10 minutes if that. The surgeon I saw with this other company just asked to see my Breasts, then as I have lost volume in them due to weight loss, he pinched it together slightly & pushed them up so I could see what would happen.

He then drew a couple of diagrams showing new nipple placement & where the scars would be from the resulting surgery.

Did you have the chance to see what your results could be before surgery on a computer program or anything like that ?? Did you also get some diagrams to take away with you to look @ before you decided to go ahead and book your surgery ??

No he didn’t use anything computerised. He did draw some diagrams on my notes though and I’m sure he’d be happy to redraw them for you to take home as well xx

    HI Kirsty

Thanks for that. If my surgeon can do that for me then I would be much happier knowing about my options and what will happen on surgery day when I decide to proceed in the future. Did you get full information about the procedure to take away with you to read ??
If you don’t mind me asking, how long is it since you had your surgery and how much pain were you in after your procedure ??

Yes I got a couple of booklets to read through at my consultation and then a few more (mainly about aftercare and healing) at my pre op appointment.

I had my op on 29th October so only 11 days ago. I was in a lot more pain than k expected to be, I won’t lie! I had to keep on top of my painkillers for the first 5 days and then cut down after that. I had to take one after my 7 day check up as the energy it took to get ready and get there put me in agony after not doing anything for a week but I haven’t taken anything at all since then. I had 325 and 350cc HP partials from a 32b/c so I’ve had a fair bit of muscular pain as my implants are partly under the muscle xx

    HI Kirsty.
I have been making rice sizer test implants in 325 cc, 350cc, 375cc & 400cc sizes to try out at home to have an idea of what effect I can get following surgery which has helped but I now am looking to try on different sizes & styles of implants in the company of an experienced cosmetic surgeon to get a professional opinion on what is right for me.
