Hi Holly. Next month I will of had my implants for 5 years and I have got capsular contracture. I first noticed it I’d say nearly 2 years ago by feeling a hard lump in my right breast and it was painful. Now both my boobs are really hard and painful all the time. My surgeon no longer works for MYA so I am seeing Dr Andrea and I go back to see him this afternoon as I will be having removal of my implants with the scar tissue removed and new implants. I don’t think it’s something people really talk about and I definitely wasn’t made aware of it. I have been told that because it has happened to me that when I have new implants it could probably happen again! x

Hello, sorry to hear that I hope it’s all sorted but do you know how we can avoid it from happening in the future?

I’ve just had revision for capsular contracture… One boob was going a strange shape… Also rippling at the side… No major signs but a few pains here and there it also dropped quite low compared to the other side
