My op is in Preston and I’m booking a hotel, I live around 2hours away too, I’d just rather be close by just in case anything happens x

I booked a hotel the night before and night after. Because I didn’t know my admission time I didn’t want to risk having to get up at 4am for a 7am admission. I think the rules are that if you live over an hour away you must stay over night in a hotel after your surgery so that if you do have any complications you can get back to hospital xx

I think it’s worth staying over just in case iv booked a premier inn nearby in Preston and it was only around £50 or something xx

I stayed at the ibis preston hotel the night before and night after. I live three hours away so didn’t want to risk being late or anything. The hotel is literally about a three min drive to the clinic and has a restaurant next door, I was discharged at six so I went there for tea lol. X

I did… glad I did too… the anaesthetic didn’t agree with me so was throwing up, definitely would not have survived the 2 hour drive home that night x

I’m booked in on the same day as you at Preston too, I’m definilty booking a hotel for the night as I also live more than an hour away. Seems like the safest option.

I was planning on staying in a hotel after because I live 2 and a half hours away from Preston but my husband had to work so my friend took me instead and she couldn’t stay over with me as she had to work the next morning. I got discharged at 10:15pm and the nurses weren’t happy with me leaving at all and said they would have to write on my notes that I was going against medical advice and leaving the hospital and traveling a long distance. I felt absolutely fine after but she said it was because if anything was to go wrong and I ended up at a local A&E that they wouldn’t be brothered about the cosmetic side of things and if anything went wrong they would just take them out to save me (on a very rare occasion that it would come to that) whereas I’m guessing Preston would look after you and save your implants! If it’s possible for you I’d stay over close to the hospital xx

I was in london and live around 3 hours away. I planned on staying at a hotel nearby but cancelled it on the morning of my op because one of the girls that had hers done a few days before mine was told by nurses at another hospital that they’d only send her to a&e anyway. So I went home and I’m glad I did because I was completely dosed up on morphine and codeine and couldn’t feel a thing all the way home. Woke up the next day like I’d been hit by a bus and I would never have fancied the drive home even with codein tablets prescribed because the slightest move made my incisions pull xxx
