Do you stop breathing??!

Under general anaesthesia do you stop breathing and they ventilate you themselves or do you breathe by yourself? I was almost getting ready to book my op and then this crossed my mind and now Im freaked out. xx

breath yourself apsolutely no ventilatory support is needed- you’re just put to sleep!
