I’m 2 weeks 5days PO today and need some more sports bras.
Do they have to be zip front now?
I’m guessing it was only for ease when they are first done, so can I wear normal sports bras now?

Also what bras are people wearing once there 6 weeks? I don’t want to go straight to under wire really, not sure what else to look for.

    Hi Nikki,

In prep for 6 weeks I bought this soft bra. I think I’ll wear a soft bra for a little while xx

I am yet to have my ba (58 days and counting!) but I’m imagining that I’m going to struggle to lift my arms up without pain enough to get into a non zip sports bra (but I am not excited about wearing a sports bra for 6 weeks throughout the whole summer! But it will be worth it ?)

They say it has to be zip up for 6 weeks because there more supportive apparently but I always wore both zip and none zip as found none zip more comfy n Easyer to wear with any tops as some have tiny straps with no zip up dnt honestly think it matters as long as u got support there xx

I can lift my arms fine just my armpits feel a bit Tender still but that’s all. I thought the zip was just for ease but I’ve managed to try a sports bra with out a zip and I’ve been fine putting it on etc.
I’m just thinking there’s no point buying more zip front ones as I’ll probably only wear normal sports bras for excersise after.

Also thanks Harriet, I think I’ll find some soft bras to x

I’m only 1 week post op today, I’ve been wearing both zip up and over the head ones, everybody’s different. I found the trick was to put one arm in, then over the head and then the other arm in ? I’m a carer and we often dress residents like this. I found the normal sports bras easier to disguise and dress if I was going out for the day as they are thinner. X
