Finance ?

Hey, can anyone tell me if Mya allow someone close to you to have the finance in their name, On my behalf ?
I know I would be refused finance due to little to none credit history, I have regular income & £900 deposit saved. However someone close to me will be taking the finance in their name, and I’ll be making the regular repayments.

Hello, I’m not sure how the finance with MYA works but you could always give them a call & I’m sure they’d be happy to answer your question.

Failing that, have you looked into a 0% credit card or a loan through a bank?
I’ve got a 0% credit card for 28 months with Barclays for my op in November. You can find out how much you could be offered by applying online.
A lady who I used to work with had a family member take out a loan in their name for her op a few years ago. I think this was done through a bank because she didn’t have a good credit rating.

There’s ways around it just in case, but I can’t see why finance couldn’t be done in someone else’s name 🙂 hope that helps! Xx

Thanks for that info! Very helpful, I’ll have to look into those options as my back up and just see what is the best option. The person that’s allowing me to have credit in their name has very good credit history so hoping that’s will work out xx

To be honest the APR on the finance isn’t the best, would be better to get a loan and then you know how much your paying exactly in interest. Xx

The final cost given to me for surgery was £5400. You dont need to worry about whos name the loan/finance is in as Mya have nothing to do with this part, it is down to you to find a company who will provide you with the money. When at your consultation they offer to help with finding a loan for you, but at the end of a day so long as they are paid it doesnt matter where the money came from.
They were also very helpful in working with the problem I was having with my loan so i wouldnt hesitate to explain your situation to them and im sure they’ll do what they can xx
