    hey all,

    Just a quick question. How tight is my sports bra supposed to be? I’ve read on here that everyone feels really uncomfortable, but I feel fine, which makes me think it should be a little tighter?

    Please help! Thanks X

    Mine was pretty tight, to the point where I thought it was gonna cut my skin at the bottom where the base of the zip is!
    I had them done last Tuesday & it’s now fitting fine, a little tight where my stitches are but nothing like before. Xx

    Thanks Lisa. Mines pretty comfy, but I’m not sure that’s a good thing? I didn’t know which one to buy so I bought loads of different sizes, I’m thinking I should maybe drop down a size? XX

    hmmm.. If it’s really comfortable I would say not a good thing! They are meant to be compression, so like super super tight and the sports bras are even called ‘high impact’ so id guess yours aint doing the job for your new impants xx so annoying having to guess sizes for the sports bras (i kinda got lucky with mine and guessed spot on) but yeah I’d deffo go into M&S and maybe try some smaller sizes? It shouldn’t be tight to the point of death but yeah at quite tight hun xx

    Are m&s bras good? I’m having my op 20th July and I’m getting prepared now. Can you give me some advise? Would you get a bra fastened up at the front or the back?

    Hi phoebe, I’d also say that if it’s comfortable it’s too slack. I had my Macom on to come from home from hospital and all the next day. I swapped to a bra I got from amazon and it didn’t feel as tight but also not as supported and I suppose ‘held together’. I’ve another Macom on order and I’m ditching the other looser one. I don’t want to have gone through all this to end up with saggy boobs (again)! I have started undoing the bottom two hooks for bed but only because the swellings coming down and the bruisings come out a bit underneath xx

    My bra is pretty tight to the point were after work I am looking forward to taking it off as it can be a bit too tight around my waist. I find every bra that I try on does that for me though, I am normally a 32, the nurse recommend that I got a 34 but I ordered a 36 and it is still tight!! X

    Mine wasn’t uncomfortable… I got a medium Macom and maybe should’ve got small but it still felt like it was holding them in and down in place. I have 2 other bras which feel comfortable but again hold them in position.

    @Jess

    Hey Jess yeah the M&S bras are amazing! So are the MAcoms, and it’s hard having just 1 post-op bra so I recommend you get both if you can! xxxxx
