Hi girls so my op is on 2nd November .. I have a work do on the 17th so will be just over 2weeks Post op..

I know everyone heals differently and stuff and know It’s still very early.. but do you think I could get away with wearing something without a huge bra on just for a couple of hours in the evening?!

Hi Tahia, my op is the 2nd also and due to go out the 19th as long as all ok by then. I personally won’t chance wearing anything else as it’s still very early days. Also they may ache more from not having the support there, I know it’s a pain as not great going out in a sports bra! I asked my nurse about another night out on the 2nd Dec and she said it would be ok to wear a “normal” bra then but just for that night. I also won’t go for an underside one but a post op bra. I’m having an uplift also so maybe different for you.

So frustrating isn’t it!! So tempting just to do it but don’t wanna mess anything up!! You will have to let us know what time you’re given!

Personally I wouldn’t, it’s completely your choice but to be honest at two weeks post op the thought of going braless will scare you. In the early weeks if I had no bra on I felt like I needed to cup them with my hands just for protection even going from my room to the shower ha. Imagine if someone accidently banged into you, you don’t want to risk knocking any scabs off your incisions or anything like that. Asda have some nice post op bra’s that have normal thin bra straps, and normal shaped cups, they are comfy too x

Would be interested to how what you went for in the end? I have an 80s party to go to 2 weeks after my op. Luckily my outfit will allow me to wear my macom if needed. Is the pain usually settled enough to drink by then?
