    Hi girls!

Looking to book my op, I work as a hairdresser so they say I need at least 2 weeks off work as I’m using my arms a lot, I’m worried about some girls saying they still can’t do a lot after 2 weeks!

Any other hairdressers on here, how long did you have off and how did you find it when you went back?

I may take 3 weeks just to make sure but don’t want to be left with no holiday allowance for the rest of the year!

    Thanks!

    Xx

Hiya it really depends how you heal and how your recovery goes. I’m a beauty therapist and makeup artist and I was back working at 8 days post op and I’ve been completely fine. I’m only back to doing massages tomorrow which will be 11 days post op. But I could of done them a couple of days ago without any pain. I’ve had a pretty speedy and low pain recovery though doing everything for myself since day 1, and I had partials. Hopefully you’ll be the same 🙂 hope that’s helped xx

Hey I am also a hair dresser , I am allowing 2weeks off. It’s mixed reviews. Some people say after 7-10 days they are fine. I am taking two weeks off just because of appointments afterwards. . Hope that helps. I’m having mine done Wednesday. Can let u know xx

@abbie Iv had a fab recovery like u just feels tight. First 3 days were bad but because I had an allergic reaction to antibiotics. Any way I’m a mobile hairdresser and beautician was back to wrk after 12 days. But trying not to lift heavy things as it doesn’t hurt but u can feel it pulling abit. Just be careful.xx

I’m a hairdresser and Im 6 days post op – I’ve booked 2 weeks off and I feel like I will be okay by 2 weeks but if someone asked me to blow dry now I’d have to put the brush where the sun don’t shine LOL!! On my 1st day back this lady with masses of hair who likes a big bouncy blow dry wanted to book in I was like ermmm I have no appts left that day lol so just be careful what you do 🙂 I’ve also booked to finish 2 hours early for my first two days back just to ease in to it. Hope that helps 🙂 xxxx
