    Hi Girls..
Eeeek first of all I’m starting to get excited.. I’m having unders done on the 11th Aug by Linda F.

I have just had my pre op and the nurse has told me I can’t lift children for 6 weeks.. Im worried – i have 3 weeks off of work but I’m a nanny so lifting a chubby 8 month old is part of my job.. Does any one work with children? Or are there any moms out there that have experienced the 3 week mark?
I don’t want to keep telling my boss its too soon for me to lift – to my having my op is a big thing but to everyone else its just cosmetic surgery!
Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through it.
Loving reading your stories girls! Allie xx

Hi Hun, I have a 3 year old and a 19 month old. I had someone with me for 2 weeks but after that I was ok to lift just not all the time, only if I really had to. I’m now 3 weeks post op and had unders and I’m absolutely fine now, I have to get him in and out of his cot, put him in his chair at the table, in and out of the car seat, literally everything lol and I’m absolutely fine ? Hope this helps Hun and good luck with your op! Cx

I had overs 7 weeks ago. I’m a single parent of a 21 months old. I had my mum with me for a week but she came down with a bug and I was basically on my own a few days afte my op. She lifted him in/out of his cot for me but otherwise I was completely fine. Honestly it’s nowhere near as bad as you read, I’m sure you’ll be fine. I was worried about tantrums as my little boy kicks and thrashes about but a 8month old should be easier 🙂 by 2/3 weeks I felt completely normal. Go for it! Good luck!! X
