help! Can I have my op if have a cold ?

Hi, I am suppose to be having my operation next wednesday but have started with a cold!!! Fed up, does anyone know if i will still be able to have my op if still got the cold?

not sure but i just read on sofem that a girl woke up morning of her op and had a cold, sore throat but still got hers ok

yeh course you will!!! its swine flu n proper flu that wud be a prob, you,ll be fine XX

i had my op when i was just getting over a cold. Call your nurse and keep her updated with it, she will tell you what you can and cant take.

Eat lots of fruit and veg to get your vitamins!

I was recovering from a cold when I had my BA. As long as you don’t have a temperature you are fine to have surgery.

I had a slight tempreture last wednesday the day of my op and they said unless it went down i couldn’t have it done, so when the nurse left the room i opened the window and stuck half my body out of it by the time the nurse came back my tempreture was mch lower ! lol

there was no way i was letting a slight bloody temp stop me from having my boobs done !!

all sense and reason flys out the window (literally in my case !) when we’re going through this i’m lucky i still have a husband i’ve been a total nightmare xxx
