I am booked in on the 14 october for my consultation with Dr Andrea Giannitrapani. I was just wondering how quick the process was for everyone? How long after your consultation until surgery? Do you pick a date?
    Thanks 🙂

Hi courtney! I had my consultation with him on friday the 30th of september (friday just gone) i was offered a date in november for surgery, but due to being self employed i needed more time to get prepared. I finally booked for march the 23rd! Are you looking to have it done quickly? X

Hi Ladies, I had Surgery this time last year and it was the best thing I have ever done. However I did NOT go with MYA – in the end…For those with surgery booked, I wish you the best of luck and I’m sure you will be as pleased as I am with your results. 🙂 X

For those currently having consultations and thinking about choosing MYA, I want to share my expetience. Whilst reading this , you may all think “why now?” , “why is she writing this on the Forum a whole year later?” and my answer to this is that the new TV advertising has prompted me to make sure no one goes through another awful experience like me. The MYA Marketing is very blinding and probably the only thing they take pride in.

I want to remind everyone that it is not all about the company you choose when considering Surgery. The mos important factor is the Surgeon you choose and the aftercare service you receive and I honestly , feel that the Surgeons at MYA do not care about their patients. To enmphasise this statement – I had my surgery booked WITH MYA and 3 weeks before my Surgery, the Surgeon had “left” the business. Unfortunately, I can’t say anymore on this forum as to why) The only reason I found out was by reading that he had left the business on this forum! Additionally , another one of them made me cry after refusing to see me when I waited for a consultation for 4 hours! (That by the way was booked but he justs decided he was too tired)

Looking back I feel I had a lucky escape. I could write an essay on why not to use MYA and I would highly suggest to anyone to look beyond the MYA website for ; more , honest results.

I have read on the forum about a number of patients wanting “Revision surgery”. This should be a red flag for anyone considering surgery with MYA. Even before I had my surgery, after handing my deposit over , the aftercare service was non existant!

Through various sources, I know more about MYA than most patients, for example; do to Surgeone treating the MYA staff with disrespect, majority of the patient coordinators who where there last year have now left.

also happy to speak in privilege, directly to answer any questions.

    Thanks 😉 x
