Laxatives??

Hi girlies .. Im 6 days post op now and havent “been to the toilet” for a week now .. And my waist has grew an extra 3 inches!!!! I had constipation relief yesterday but still no action .. Has any1 taken laxatives to make them go after having a BA? Do you think it would be safe to take em? xxx

Actually, my nurse advised I take laxative after the op as u are likely to be constipated. the day I took it I did not go in the mornin, but then I had a cup of coffee and it helped. Cant advise you to take another since you recently took one, you should call the nurse and ask. all the best

hey.. had exactly the same problem it was horrible.. i just took senokot most days for relief lol xx

i was told if you are taking regualr pain killer to eat more foods with fibre as they do cause constipation xx

Op on tues and started dulcolax today .. constipation and trapped wind is worse than the actual op!!!

I was exactly the same after my op. senakot is good, so is allbran if you can eat it….with warm milk. That defo works! xxx
