Make up advice please!!

Morning
So day is cast off day! I’d really like to put a bit of make up on before I go out. Avoiding the cast obviously.
Just a bit paranoid it will go against me if any revision were needed. They won’t say I’ve messed around with my face or something will they?? Lol

Hey, the nurse told me I could put powder make up on just not to touch my nose! I put make up under my eyes etc.. X

I get my cast off on saturday 14th, am i allowed to wear mascara up there or do they advise not to?

I wore a bit of make up and she didn’t say anything. The way she pulled me around getting the cast off I don’t see how a bit of make up would affect anything !

@ksmalley does it hurt getting the cast off? I have already felt all the dried up blood up my nose, do they clean it out, i find it so hard not to pick I’m such a picky person! (gross i know). Or do they leave it? do you have sensation in your nose/tip as mine still feels very numb! x

Hi, no it didn’t hurt but it didn’t feel nice! My cast was really stuck on. There was a fair amount of pulling. I had it off at 7 days and it felt so fragile. It really felt like the nurse was mangling it up! It looks ok so I’m hoping it’s alright! Lol
She gave it a reasonably good clean too. I’m pretty much scab free at 2 weeks po now. Still feels horrible to touch but the feeling is definitely coming back and I almost have a normal smile again!

Hi i had my rhinoplasty done on Monday . cast still on, but its sooo itchy. how does your nose look?!?! are u happy with the results?

Try not to worry. This is what you have been waiting for! I was quite blazè so as to try not to be disappointed. Just think if you like it, it’s a bonus and if you don’t, there’s so much time 4 it to change. I’m over 2 weeks po and it still feels crazy fragile I’m looking forward to when it feels more healed! I find I have good days and bad days with it. Sometimes it looks great. Others it’s quite swollen. Just take it a day at a time. I’m really happy with mine so far. I hope you both love yours! @ksmalley This forum thing is so confusing to use!!! Ive had my cast off and i was quite disappointed to be honest. It looks different from the front like my tip is cuter, but i have no slope/curve to my nose which is what i specifically asked for!! The nurse said in time this will come and it will take my desired shape but i really don’t feel this is possible i see no curve what so ever so how is it possible that it will do that ? I’m so worried!! she said don’t touch it for 6 weeks and it will change, but I’m feeling doubtful 🙁

I wouldn’t worry yet. It won’t look like it has a slope as it’s swollen. You’d be surprised. Everything I’ve seen of his work always has slopes!! Sure my nurse didn’t say about no touching 4 6 weeks! ! ?

i was told DO NOT TOUCH my nose for 6 WEEKS as this can alter it and if you have and it heals and you don’t like it they can’t give you a revision because its “your fault”. and no pressure on it either, all i want to do is ice it and she was just like are you mad do not touch your nose! I think its all a bit mad they seem to tell everyone different things? does yours have a slope??
