Newcastle to Preston – Set off time?

I’m at Preston on Tuesday and my admission time is 10.30. I’ve looked on Google maps and it reckons on 2hrs 40ish to get there. Could any of the girls from Newcastle let me know what time the set off to get to Preston and did you have any trouble with traffic ?? Xx
