Has anyone else had a reduction and/or uplift and not been happy with how their nipples looked afterwards? I had my first post op check on Monday and I’m so happy with the overall shape/size/firmness of the breasts and also the scarring and healing is coming along fine… but my nipple on my right breast looks like something out of a horror film?! It genuinely doesn’t even look like a nipple, it’s like as if it’s all folded in on itself and you can’t see where the nipple is? I had quite large areolas before so my biggest worry was getting smaller nipples in my uplift and was so excited about having boobs that actually look how they’re supposed to and that’s not what I have! The nurse was really happy and says everything looks as it should and at first I thought I’d just have to wait for it all to heal but when I look at everyone else’s 1week PO pics you can still see the general look of what the nipple will look like! The more I look at mine the more I’m convinced it’s going to stay like this, I don’t even know how to describe it and I’m too embarrassed to post a photo of it! Please tell me someone else has had this issue and it resolves itself? The only way I can describe it is as if my nipple is in the middle and all the skin around it has folded in on itself and you have to separate it to find the nipple? I’m so worried I’m going to be stuck with this 🙁

Hi jasmin, has this got any better over time?
How long did it take for the nipple to heal? Ive had my nipples done and I’m so scared about taking the bandages off and seeing the scarring. Starting to wish I didnt have the nipple reduction and just the implant

    Hi,
I had implants & a areola reduction – They used the “purse string” style technique & when I first saw them I was horrified.
Now I’m 17 days PO they are easing right off, would be very interested in what’s normal/not normal.
But if it’s any small boost, mine are getting better each day. On the advice of nurse I vaseline around my Areola’s – cocoa butter my breasts, but please take advice as you might be more tender post uplift.
    I hope this helps?
