Hi girls! I’m due for my BA with Dr Netri in Preston on Friday. Just wondering what the day was like for everyone! I’m excited but feeling a little unorganised!

I’m wondering how long I’ll be in the clinic for, how long the wait is before surgery after admission, what happens after admission, how long you spend in there after surgery, maybe if anyone has any tips on things to take with them?

    Let me know!

Hi beaut, I bet you are so excited, I got to my clinic at half 10 for a half 11 check in (I was very excited hence so early lol) i wenr down right on time and got in to my gown and had all my stats done waited for my surgeon to come draw on me like a note pad lol then eventually I went down about 1 ish, I woke up at half 2 ish had some food and drink and was back in the car for 4 on the way home, I had my surgery under local though not general so I didn’t need to stay in long afterwards, honestly don’t worry enjoy every second of it, I would do it all again the feeling I had that day I have never been so excited in my entire life, and as for my newbie boobies I’m utterly totally and overly in love with them lol i had unders and the after pain wasn’t half as bad as I thought I took pain killers for 2 days and was back to work 2 weeks later and I run my own cleaning business so it’s pretty physical job, you will be fine and like I said enjoy every second cus after you will think is that it all that worry for that and you will have new boobs to stare at and play with lol Good luck xxx

Hi Christy, when is your admission time?
Mine was 4pm, I was walking down to theatre at 4.40, back in my room by 6pm, and discharged at 9pm.
My advice is enjoy it! Despite the pain it was one of the best days of my life, and i’d do it all again if I could. The staff were amazing, so funny and kind… just enjoy it!
I packed loads in my hospital bag and barely even opened it. I would recommend some slippers, and a travel neck pillow for the way home (and also a v pillow for when you get home), but aside from that, just your post op bra, comfy clothes (front fastening) and a phone charger. Good luck! xxx

Hey girl. Haven’t had mine done yet but from my research i’d say..
    – Bendy straws – easier to drink
    – Macom bra
    – Portable charger
    – Yoghurt before you take tablets to stop sickness
    – V shaped pillow & neck travel pillow
    – Icepacks – wrapped not wet
    – Actimel yoghurts to help go toilet
    – Pillow in the car going home
    – Dressing gown for surgery
    – Tracksuit – zip up hoodie
    – Slippers & pjs button up front
    – Armpits waxed – be hard to shave
-hair in french braids as be hard to wash for a while
    – Take “stool softener” day before op
    – Tablets left open if i’ll be alone all day – can’t unscrew lid

    Hi Kate!

Excited and quite nervous! That’s good that you weren’t in all day – my mums dropping me off in the morning but can’t stay as she has to go to work so I was worried I’d be on my own waiting around all day!

Your recovery sounds like it went really well! God I’m dreading the stage of not being able to do anything physically and going back to work incase I don’t feel 100% but I only have an office job so shouldn’t be too bad!!

    Atleast I’ll have boobs!!

    Thanks! Xxx

    Hi Gemma, 11am!

Thats so good I’d love to just be straight in and not waiting around all day!

Yeah I can’t believe the days finally here, been thinking about booking it for so long. Feel so unorganised though!!

I’ve put all those items in my bag so should be alright – thanks a lot lovely! Xxx

    Hi Claire,

The bendy straws are such a good shout I’ve just packed some!! I’ve not got icepacks and actimel and stuff but I’ll get stuff like that for when I’m home probably!

@ba230318 Good luck today babe. I replied to you but mentioned another provider and saw you’re not supposed to…. I haven’t booked in yet, I have my first consultation with MYA tomorrow. But still researching where to go and who with.
Yeah I found those tips watching BA journeys on youtube. With the icepacks – that was more on the American vlogs but helps reduce swelling, just have to make sure they’re not wet (so wrap the ice pack in kitchen roll and then put it in a ziplocak bag so it won’t make your boobs wet).
    Good luck! Xx
