Op day! Dr Andrea quick query?

Morning of my uplift and implants! Nerves are starting to kick in, the only thing I am petrified of and most scared for is the needle into the hand! Can anyone calm my nerves and tell me it isn’t that bad? Haha! Really hope I’m not in too much pain afterwards. ahhhhh eeekkkk?

Just look the other way when their putting it in hun, also I told the nurse doing it (he was a man but really nice) that I’m super squeamish and he kind of bent down and lowered my hand off the bed so I couldn’t see ☺️ It takes a second to go in and then within a minute or so you’re asleep so honestly you won’t even have chance to panic! If your that bad with needles like I am I told them and got magic cream about an hour before surgery so tell them as soon as if you can if you want to ask them about it x

I was petrified of the anesthetic not the needle and they gave me gas and air to calm me down. Dont remember a thi g x

I was so worried about this bit too but I it was easy! You’ll be out like a light shortly after they put it in so you’ll be fine 🙂 good luck! Had my procedure two days ago with Dr, Andrea and the whole thing went really well! X

Thanks girls. The first try of anasthetic didnt work so just my luck I had to have 2 needles, one in the normal place couldn’t get a vein. (I thought this would be s struggle as it took 7 attempts for my blood tests before hand) then the side of my hand/thumb which was horrific but worked and within a minute I was gone. Apart from that everything went well. I was so out of it for the whole day with back pain because of the 45 degree angle you have to lie in. So happy to be home still in a lot of pain but trying not to rely on bucket loads of painkillers. Having one every 4 hours. Just feel like someone is constantly sitting on my chest. ??? overall I love them and can’t stop looking! Roll on next week. When was everyone’s pain going???

I’m in for surgery Sunday and feeling most nervous about the needle and anesthetic! When do they put the canular in? Is it not till your in theatre or whilst your in your room waiting? Also when do they take your canular out? I’m in over night and I’m so hoping they don’t leave it in till I’m discharged the morning after?!!! Ahh lol x

The needle goes in when u get into theatre, within a minute u will be out. Then they do he cannular, mine wasn’t taken out until the morning after (this morning about 2 hours before I left) they leave it in incase they need to put any stronger painkillers in you. I was ok luckily. Don’t stress though. I was l most petrified of it. When he put the needle in I let out a squeel but it was only painful for 5 seconds max. Then before you know it your in recovery with big boobies x

Hi fay, I’m on day 4 and pain wise it’s not bad at all. I’m down to one cocodamol every 4 hours and 1 ibuprofen. And that’s keeping Me topped up enough without too much discomfort 🙂 how are you feeling? X

Hey!! That’s good what were u on am before painkiller wise?? I’m in a lot of pain at mo but hoping that won’t last. It’s been about 24 hours since I had my op. Nipples are hurting the most. Literally can’t do anything but feel sorry for myself. Hopefully all worth it. I’m getting so agitated and fed up already arghhhh x

I was taking two cocodamol and two ibuprofen every 4 hours. But i found the cocodamol was making me feel really queasy so ive tried cutting it down and it’s helped. Most people have said the first week is the hardest so I’m sure it’ll only get easier for you everyday 🙂 I think I’ve been quite lucky as pain wise ive not found it too bad so far. What have you had done if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve had a lift with 295cc super high profile unders x

Hope it just gets better then! You lucky thing. What strapping have u got?? I have a horrible strap going over the top which I want to just rip off causing me so much discomfort it’s untrue. I have another 6 days with it yet! Argghhhh. I’m such a maggy moaner lol. I had 325cc in my one and 300cc in the other. Uplift and implants xx

Yeah I’ve got a breast band over the top and that literally is the worst. I’ve taken it off a few times to re adjus it and it feels so much better when it’s off. Apart from that just my Macom bra and dressings over my stitches. We’re you told to wear it for just a week?? That’s great news If so I thought I’d have to wear it for the full healing time! I have smaller implants than you though so this may be why my pain has been less. Not as much for the muscle to stretch over but im sure you’ll feel much better in a few days! You’ll have to keep me updated on how you’re healing 🙂 x

I’ve realeased mine abit because I was literally squished lol and the doctor added gauze under the armpits as it was rubbing. I’ll upload a photo of when I got out of surgery. Yeah could be. How’s everything to do with your healing so far?? Nothing there shouldn’t be?? X

As far as I can tell everything’s fine! I don’t feel like anything isn’t right or too uncomfortable considering what I’ve had done. My left side is slightly more swollen and ive felt some like bubbling sensations but I’m not worrying about it as ive read up on a lot of things that can happen after surgery and so far it seems normal. The only thing im a little worried about is the incisions healing okay with no infection or anything. but im sure I’ll be okay 🙂 how about you? they look great! Mine are the same! Rock hard but the position my nipples are now in is awesome! X

Ahh that’s great. When do u get your first check up?? I hope that this band is taken off after a week it’s really really peeing me off. I am so so itchy too!! All normal stuff though I hope?? I just panic to much lol! Hoping to god I sleep ok tonight! That’s the same as me I’m just worried about the insions under the plasters I pray they’re ok! A waiting game I guess! Where are you getting checked up??

Have my first check up on Tuesday. Yeah I’ve been getting itching on my lower incisions where the bra is rubbing! So annoying 🙁 I have my check up in Birmingham. Really looking forward to seeing under the dressings! Even though it’ll probably look quite gruesome! When’s your first check up? X

Oh glad I’m not the only one ! Mines in Birmingham too! Should of been Thursday but got changed to Wednesday! Not sure what happens on the first check up are u?? Do we get the white plasters changed? If so I don’t want to look and see my nipple seen sewn on! Eughhhhh. Just took 2 cocodamol hoping they knock me out pain free for the night but doubt that’s the case. Do u find sleeping difficult are u waking up???

They change the dressings and check how they’re healing I think. Haha! I want to see mine! They’ll look rank no doubt but im dying to see under the dressings!! I wake up every few hours when sleeping but mainly because ive slipped down the bed and need to get comfortable again. I’ve decided to stop my pain killers today as im not really in any pain and can’t deal with feeling bloated and sick anymore! X

That’s well good. I think my pain is starting to fade away as today I’ve only had to have 2 cocodamol today. But I really need the loo!! Have you been?? I’ve tried but not only obviously the cocodamol making me constipated but I feel like I can’t go because it pulls across my chest?? Am I on my own here?? I’m desperate lol x

Yeah it’s does that 🙁 I was able to get some lactalose from a friend who’s a nurse so I haven’t had much of a problem. Maybe get some Senna tablets tablets that will help. Cocodamol are the worst for it. I’m glad you’re feeling less pain today! Bet you’ll be even better tomorrow too 🙂 x

Awwww that’s good. I managed to go this morning thank god. How are you?? I feel a lot better today just still got the occasional shooting pains. And a few painful areas when I lay differently. Are u completely pain free?? I have a wedding in 8 days and I’m frightened I won’t be fit enough??? Ughhh. Bet you can’t wait to get ur dressings off X

I went to a wedding 10 days post op and was absolutely fine! Even had a few drinks and felt fine in the morning ☺️ Xx

I have a wedding in 10 days! I think you’ll be more than fine by time the wedding comes around, Id say just don’t drink too much. I’m not so I don’t risk rolling onto them when im asleep after drinking. I get the odd twinge but generally I feel fine. Took some more pics today they’re on my profile if you want to see 🙂 will get some when they take my dressings off too. My incisions are getting a little itchy on my under boob now. But that means they’re healing I guess! 🙂 x

Oh wow that’s good to hear! Hopefully I’ll be ok then! Today I’m a little concerned about my insions as u can see all black (blood im guessing) through my dressings. I’ve took a few photos I’ll upload now. They’re extremely itchy and I don’t know if I should be worried as I really am?? My sports bra is very tight round the bottom and I don’t know if this is a bad thing?? :/

I wouldn’t worry. I have the same. It’ll be from when they first stictched you up. They’ll clean you all up and check the incisions on your check up and if they think your bra is too tight they will tell you. The wraps and bras are supposed to be tight to hold everything in place so try not to worry 🙂 and the itching is generally a sign of healing too x

Yeah same! Lol im pain free today also loving this! Finally washing my hair today also! Spoke to the nurse earlier and the breast strap/band does stay on for 4 weeks 🙁 gutted!!! Hopefully can come off for the wedding day only lol?! x

Hiya girls im 4weeks post op and feel amazing love my boobies dont worry about the dried blood its normal. How come use had the band across? I didnt have one?x

Hey becky thanks for that! Love hearing that! Are you nearly healed at week 4?? I can’t wait till then lol! The breast band I believe is to keep everything down and in place. No movement etc. What did you have done? And who did you have? I know different people do different things. We both had the same so that could be why?? Xx

That’s brilliant glad you feel better today! Mine have started hurting around the incisions today 🙁 but I get them checked later so that’ll put my mind at ease about it. I’m sure it’s just them healing! Yeah I’m not wearing the band for the wedding. I’ll just take it off that one day, should be fine! 4 weeks is ages!! It’s literally the worst bit haha x

Yeah I get occasional pains around the incisions when I move but yeah I guess it’s normal! Let me know how it goes. Can’t wait to see.mine tomorrow also! I know it literally is lol when are you back to work?? X

Week 4 and starting to look really well and pretty much healed just very scabby round the nipple area. Im used to the implants now they just feel like a part of me. I had a uplift with 300cc high profile implants with mr.traynor.you cant see my uncisions underneath. How are you all feeling?x

Wow becky that’s amazing! I feel the best I’ve felt today since op. I’m day 6 today and can’t wait to see them tomorrow! I am so itchy but I know this should be a good thing, I get occasional pains when I position myself funny, if anything my back kills the most from the way we have to lie lol! Did everything go smoothly for you? Do you have any photos?? X

Yes had no problems atal just lost the feeling in nipples but a part from that have no probs atal. It wont let upload photos anyone else had problems uploading x

Sorry haven’t had Internet for a few days! How did your check up go? Mine when fine. Apparently looks like im healinh well. Hopefully be out of the dressings by week 3. My incisions have been really sore since the change though. Probably because theyve been disturbed and cleaned and stuff’! Hope yours went okay x

Hey no worries! Oh wow glad to hear! Mine went well too. Loooooveed the feeling of it when the dressing were taken off. Can’t believe how fast I’m healing also!! No bruising either which was apparently a shock. Did u have any?? I hope I’m out of dressing by week 3 lol! Mine have been quite itchy since Tbh, they aren’t hard either anymore which I like lol! When’s your next check up?? X

Yeah I didn’t really have much bruising as far as I could see but I didn’t look at them too long because I felt faint and had to lie back down! Haha. I can’t wait to get these dreasings off for good. They’re so so so itchy today. All over not just the incisions. It’s driving me crazy! My next check up is tomorrow! 🙂 when’s yours? X

How did yours go!? Mine went well 🙂 she hopes I’ll have the dressings off next week! (Fingers crossed) itching has died down a bit as I think it was more the dreasings than the incisions itching (she used a barrier spray this time and it’s really helped) I have super dry peely skin everywhere though 🙁 can’t wait to give them a proper wash in the shower! X

Hey sorry about late reply. How are you now?? When are you allowed to shower? Mine feel like my own now do urs?? I can’t wait to get measured too!! X

I’ve got the 3 week check today so I’m praying I’ll get the dressings off then I’m coming straight home for a shower! Trying not to get my hopes up too much though just in case! Yeah, they’re much better and softening up, still got a few aches and pains here and there though x

And only one more week till I can burn this breast band! Haha x

Not so good news from the check up. One of the incisions on the right side has broken down and isnt healing. There were stitches left in on both sides and she thinks that’s why its been having trouble. I’ve got to go back Friday for another check up and she might need to swab for infection. I think ill be atleast another two weeks in dressings even if it starts to heal now the stitch is out. Gutted! I also have a nasty rash from the dressings. Loads of little bumpy spot things everywhere. Hopefully Friday will bring some good news! X

Oh my god that’s awful to hear when your so close! I have been dreading my check up tomorrow for a few days now trying not to get my hopes up either although I so so badly want a shower!! I really hope u get good news on Friday I really do!! Keep me updated il let u know how I get on tomorrow too X

Not bad news but not good news. I had to be re dressed just as a percaution, ones healing quicker than the other! Hopefully this week I get to shower! Did u find out anything about your possible infection? I pray you haven’t got any troubles!! How are yours feeling? Mine are much softer now, sometimes I forget they’re there! Then I’m like wow hey there x
