Hi girls had an uplift in June and yesterday I was inspecting my scars underneath and this is what has happened. I cried my eyes out and had a panic attack worrying what will happen because I have my hen do in May and get married in June. Any advice? Xx

That looks like keloid scarring Hun. But go back to your surgeon. It doesn’t look bad though x

Yip looks keloid. Your surgeon may offer steroid injections or suggest trying the gel

Hey, it does look like it’s keloiding.

I have a keloid scar on my shoulder that I got when I was very young (luckily my boob scars didn’t keloid too). But no, you don’t need surgery. Unfortunately it can happen as a reaction to a bodily trauma (eg incision, piercing, tattoo, mine was from chicken pox!).

My advise having lived with a keloid scar for my whole life is do not under any circumstance operate in that area to try to remove it! I did, twice (under some bad advise), and It makes them SO much worse each time. Mines became very red and very raised and I massively regret trying to get rid of it!

Steroid injections and laser treatments can help with the appearance if you’re bothered by how it looks, also the gel scarring pads can help it to stop growing any further if you think it’s getting bigger. But yours really doesn’t look bad and it looks like it’s pretty hidden under your boob!

Just note you might be prone to keloiding so keep in mind for future, they always tell me I’m likely to get one again but touch wood I only have the 1 ?x

No Hun, surgery won’t do nothing. It’s just unfortunate that some people can get this sort of scarring. It’s usually more common in woman of colour, or Asian skin. I was told by my surgeon that I am likely to have this, but I didn’t. If I’m being really honest; you can’t really tell. You’ve obvioudly zoomed right in, but it’s under the boob so can easily be hidden. Don’t stress about it, xxx

@bamg @fashioncandy thanks girls. Another thing that is bothering me is it seems like it had made my boob drop so my nipples are too high. So like if I tighten under my boob it like pushes the implant up and makes the nipples point where they should so am I not going to be able to fix this? So frustrated coz I’ve had two ops before with dissolvable stitches and my scars are perfect but these ones weren’t dissolvable and so I have horrible lines all over them as well 🙁 xx

@jess, guess what: I spoke too soon, I too have keloid scars developing now! Very small atm, and I’m putting silicon sheets over them to try and stop it from getting any worse.

I spoke to the nurse about it happening and she said the surgeon advised silicon sheets, but there were options for surgery on the scar to improve them. My personal experience would say don’t do it, because I’ve operated on my other keloid, twice, and its quadrupled in size as a result but I’m sure the surgeon knows what he’s doing so it’s worth chatting with him/her and getting their opinion. Especially if it’s effecring the shape of your boob!

@bamg oh you’re joking 🙁 the problem is nobody mentioned that this was happening so when he mentioned the sheets he sounded like it was to make the colour fade not coz I had keloid scars appearing. Would you mind messaging me some pics and I’ll show you mine? I’ve sent her some more pics last night she said she’ll show him them and then I’ll need to come in I’m so stressed in case I need another op xx
