Has your ba been something you’ve been able to keep semi private or has everybody noticed? I’m due to have 300 unders next month but because I have no holiday left, I can’t be totally up front about why I’ll be off that week. Is it going to be completely obvious and I should come clean? x

Hi Kelly, I’m the exact same position as you! Havent told anyone only me and hubbie know. I saw my surgeon 10 yrs ago when he was working for mybreast and he said come back after you’ve had kids so here I am 10 years later! I had my op last wednesday and had to tell a few white lies to family and friends so that they would keep away for a couple of weeks. I had 275cc, was hoping to have 300cc but that’s all my surgeon could fit in for a natural look. I am so pleased with my results! Like you I have worn big padded bras forever. I wouldn’t worry hun if you go for a modest size for your body then they will look the exact same in clothes and no one could ever tell. It’s such a strange feeling after surgery when you feel your boob over your top and actually feel your boob and not loads of padding! When I take my bra off they look huge but in normal tshirts noone would know a thing! Good luck xx

Kristy I am SO relieved to read your post! Thank you for sharing your experience.
    I’m 5ft6 and 9.5st so I think I’ve gone for a modest size.
    I’m so excited I can’t wait! xx

    When is your date Jo?
Kristy did you choose the Macom surgical bra? If so would you recommend it?

Are good luck with sizing jo that’s exciting! I didn’t have much choice with my sizing my surgeon said I could have 280cc first then I asked for 300c and he said he would try this size but in theatre said all he could fit was 275cc, dual plane, round mod plus profile. I’m 5ft 4 and 9 stone. I’m in love with them i feel like I’ve had them forever they fit my body perfectly. I didn’t need a Macom bra @kelly404 my surgeon said there was no need for that bra he said he usually only uses that for patients having reconstructive surgery and asked me to buy a couple of M&S sports bra so I bought 2 along with me on the day and he chose the one he thought best. He did ask me to also bring along a bra extender so that it can added to the bra if it was too tight at the back.

Preperation wise I would say before make sure your up to date with all house work and have meals prepped because you will need to be resting for the first week after surgery. Make sure you have plenty of paracetamol and ibuprofen and laxative. I braided my hair either side so that it was nice and neat on surgery day and also for a few days afterwards if you can have someone take time off work and come and help/ look after you that would be good. My husband was pretty much my nurse getting me meds and making me tea, food and taking care of kids god knows howd I’d do it on my own.

Post op my skin was so oily it was like someone had poured oil on my face have never had anything like that before so recommend having some face wipes to freshen your face throughout the day. Also prepare to be bloated 🙁 I’m only just losing the bloat now 10 days post op. Just rest as much as you can really. I’ve had such a smooth recovery. I would def say try and rest up as much as you can for the first week and then you can pretty much get back to normal just taking it easier than before surgery. I’ve been driving since day 7 with no problems. I’ve been using e45 to gently massage my boobs everyday but not near the tape where my incision is.

Best of luck you guys is so worth it xxx
