    Hi girls,

How many days post op were you before you were ok to drive?! I’m 3 days PO and can’t imagine being able to move any time soon? I’m not in pain, just numb and irritated of being stuck on the sofa!

I drove first time around 8 days but it hurt closing the door and going into reverse so I left it till about three weeks but even then I took it easy. I’ve been driving properly from around a month P.O., I had unders xx

I didn’t manage to drive until 3 weeks post op, tried a couple of times before that but really struggled getting my car into reverse x

I drove at 2 weeks, although the seatbelt annoyed me,so put a thick scarf on to stop the rubbing.Changing gear was a bit of a struggle as well.Just go slower.xx

I drove fully without any problems at 10days post op. I do have a new car though with city steering and a nice high gearstick and seat position. I think it will depend on how your car drives as much as anything else. But honestly I was the same even day 4/5 I felt like death but it really turned around for me day 6 it will surprise you. X

I drove an automatic at 13 dpo and found the steering difficult and could feel every bump in the road. I’m fine now (3.5 weeks po) and basically back to normal driving. Hope this helps x

I was wondering the same. I drive automatic and the handbrake is just a switch, so hopefully I can drive again a bit sooner than anticipated.

I drove to London (just over an hour away) for my post op appointment at 7dpo and had no pain at all. I was so surprised. I had unders 🙂 xx

I drove after 7 days and just had a little stiffness in my armpits and it was a bit tricky twisting my arm to get my seatbelt on but otherwise fine 🙂 …just be careful as I think some car insurance doesn’t cover you if you drive within 7 days of having anaesthetic xx

I drove to my my 1wpo appointment (30min each way) and was fine! It was a struggle to get in to 5th gear and I had to turn the wheel a little bit slower but other than that no problems 🙂 I had partially under the muscle too xx
