I don’t know how the surgery date has come around so fast but it has, I think I’ve put it to the back of my mind and completely forgot to buy my sports bra’s for after surgery!!

Can anyone recommend a good sports bra that fastens at the front? I am not after a Macom Bra as my surgeon said its not necessary to buy this and sports bra’s are just as good!

    TIA!!!

    Hi Charlotte,
I had my surgery yesterday and I’m currently in hospital, wide awake!!! But I went to marks and Spencer’s and got the zip up post surgery bra and my nurse even said that these are really good! They’re £25 but you don’t pay the vat so you only pay £20! Cheaper than the Mya bras and better! Xxxx.

Hi Margi, hope you don’t mind me adding you! i’m having surgery next friday (27th april) it’s come around so fast as i was in the process of postponing my surgery until late may but the other day decided to stick with my original date so now i’m only a week away 😮 i feel very unprepared. i’m having my second consultation with mr mahdi tomorrow in liverpool and now i’m worried as we hadn’t really picked specific sizes to order in for the day and worry he won’t have the ones i want and would be too late to order some if he hadn’t got the ones i want!

Hiya hun just accepted. I know it’s all so confusing as such big decision to make . I’m booked 8th June, my pre op mon Liverpool, think I’m seeing mr Mahdi 16th may for 2nd consultation as first one wasn’t expecting him to say uplift and don’t think everything was sinking in he could see my face said would see me again. I haven’t picked sizes I said full C or D natural looking don’t want round look, he suggested 300, 325 or 350. Pc was lovely said would order all 3. I’m having moderate overs xx

    Hi Abi,

Glad to hear you are doing well!! I am 5 DPO today and I haven’t really bothered with Painkillers… only before bed just in case pain started in the night. I remember feeling so anxious about the afterwards pain, but I haven’t really felt any yet!! I do have an IBD so I have to be careful with tablets so this has really helped my condition as Codeine messes up your system!
I have been sleeping on the sofa… with two pillows and a V pillow behind my head and a big sofa cushion under my knees to stop me budging down in the night. I can honestly say its the best sleep I’ve had in months… I think our mattress upstairs must be shocking haha!! I usually sleep on my front.

Definitely noticed a bit of back pain… think may be from the heaviness of the implants. No problem getting about but I was very active at the gym before this and I really do think it has helped! Already getting itchy so I am hoping this is a sign of healing.

What size implants did you have? Yes, the main thing are his skills in surgery! I had Dr Netri, he was so lovely!!!

What sports bra are you wearing atm.. I feel like mine may not be tight enough but don’t know if I am being paranoid? How did the coming off of the strapping go?? xxx

    Hi Girls,

Glad you’re doing well Charlotte, are you excited to see them? I am wearing a marks and Spencer’s post surgery bra and I would highly recommend! In comparison to the Mya ones its really supportive and good quality material! They’re about £20 too! X

I’m feeling ok, I had my strapping off on Tuesday and I was dreading it but it wasn’t as bad as I thought! I am really pleased with the results so far, I’ve got quite bad bruising and my left is more swollen than the right so I was abit concerned when i originally saw them but it’s normal so I guess each week they will get better! I had 300cc partials in each and I was around a 32 e before, a lifeless one! So I’m hoping to be a little bigger than I was as I’ve always been used to having a biggish chest. It will come around so quick Juli are you excited? I will try and post my before and after pics so far. xxxx

Oh my god Abi they look fabulous!!! Your cleavage is going to be amazing!!!

I’ve no strapping on, so I’ve been looking at them since day one haha (when i dare to undo my sports bra)! Just dressings and a post surgery bra, I’ve took a few photos in my bra and can see the swelling has gone down quite quickly.. I’m hoping he says my stitches are healing quickly too! I go to have my dressings changed tomorrow so once that’s done I’ll definitely order a couple of M&S ones!

I’ve seen so many people say one of their breasts recovers quicker than the other, so one side to be bigger atm is definitely what I am expecting, although anything is an improvement on what I had before! Once I’ve had these dressings changed I’ll upload a pic of my before and after! 🙂 xx

    Hi Charlotte,
Thank you, they’re starting to soften now so I’m looking forward to seeing them again next week.
How come you haven’t had the strapping on? I would definitely recommend the M&S post surgery bras! I would go in to the shop to try them though as I had to have a 34 where I would usually where a 32! I think they come up small because there so tight!! Yeah I think its normal to have one bigger at the beginning. What size implants did you have? Yes please upload pics!! xxxx

    Hi,
I’m not sure why I didn’t have strapping, I think different surgeons are different?? I had drains… not sure if that makes a difference? They were super high on the first couple of days, like near my chin hahaha!

Ah fab… I have a big M&S near me so will definitely try on before buying! I had two different implant sizes so 325cc in my larger breast then 365cc in the other, round, moderate profile. I was in between on the day, as I didn’t know whether to go for 385/345 but then I wanted to aim for a D so went for the smaller. I was an A/B and C to start with!

Will defo get some pics up tomorrow, it really helped me looking at other peoples!

    Hey!!

Sorry I completely forgot about this thread! I am getting on really well, I’ve been using Kelo-cote when the scars started to get pink and a bit bumpy, this has helped so much and no longer bumpy!! My nipple incisions and ones down are barely visible and I think my boobs are dropping at the same rate… although I have barely had any drop, just the swelling has gone down! They both look the same size still, I had asymmetry before so that was a worry. One of my nipples a different shape than the other but i think its where the stitches have dissolved quicker one side and it doesn’t worry me. Been back at the gym 4 days now training pretty much normal, except chest, which I’ll wait until Saturday for (6 week mark).

    How are you getting on?

    🙂 x

    Hi

I’ve been told I need uplift and implants but so worried about the scaring and getting an infection. Stupidly went on a fb group yesterday that show a lot of horror stories and pictures and has put me right off., also wasn’t very kind about Mya so really not sure what to do.

Hope you are healing well xx

    Hello lovely!

I really wouldn’t read those stories… it’s a handful of people compared to those who have had surgery and are happy. I read horror stories about drains.. and I ended up having them. I was so glad I did in the end as it helps with the swelling and they were nothing like some people said!

I didn’t go through mya so I didn’t have any before or aftercare with them so can’t comment… but the surgeons they use have excellent reviews!!

I wasn’t worried about scarring… mainly because I was so unhappy with my boobs to begin with that anything was better! But honestly, they are not half as bad as you would think! My friends are surprised at how neat my incisions are and one is even going for an uplift herself.

I know there are a number of reasons people get infections, but you are given five days of antibiotics and you would be able to tell if you were starting with one as you would see weeping through dressings so you could get it dealt with really quickly before it caused any real problems.

I had over muscle, no pain, and I have been back in the gym since I was 5 weeks post op.

Think of the end result, and why you wanted to get them done in the first place! 🙂 xx
