The surgeon will ask you what you want to achieve. Feel free to go to the mentor implant website, flick through their gallery and create a look book to help show what you want to end up with.

They’ll run through some medical questions and then they’ll take measurements of your breast and tissue. These measurements determine what size implants are offered to you. Not all boobs can take large implants.

I didn’t get too involved with what size implant I want because how many cc it is doesn’t matter. How I look in the mirror matters! I wanted a certain shape or silhouette and there was no point me running around looking at implants on other women because they would look different on me.

A 350cc implant for example will be alot bigger on a girl with a 30 bra band size compared to another girl with 36 bra band size. Did you know girls with smaller band sizes will achieve bigger cup sizes with the same implant compared with a bigger woman? I didn’t.

So I didn’t get bogged down with sizes, even bra size. I genuinely just knew the shape and sillohuette I wanted. This led to the most amazing moment of my life. I saw myself in the mirror for the first time and I almost cried. It was a wedding dress moment. I tried on the 400cc implants and they gave me the perfect figure. I was speechless.

I got the 400cc implants because I tried them on and they made me feel perfect. It didn’t matter that they were 400cc or that they’ll probably take me to an E. I just felt perfect and finally happy completely with my body. I want that moment for every woman. Choose implants because your surgeon said that size was ok and they made you feel beautiful.

I know that’s not for everyone so I believe 150cc will take you up one cup size. I was a 36b and expect to reach DD or E with 400cc.

Any questions feel free to ask me here or on my Instagram _myapatient2019_ xx

Currently am a 32A if that, size 6/8 around 5”1 am scared he’ll tell me I can’t go as big as I want but looking on here with girls with the same stats they’ve gone massive. I defo want unders aswell, bit nervous of the recovery process but what woman doesn’t pay the price for beauty haha xxxx

I met my surgeon Ms Lutz yesterday and surgery all booked for 25th June.
Surgeon will recommend what implants size and if they should be over or Under’s, they make you feel really relaxed. I’m currently a small b cup and as I want a natural look I’m going for 350cc in left and 325cc in right breast. I wanted to achieve a D cup. All the best for your appointment xx

Hi Georgie, wish u well in your journey!

Yeah i heard my surgeon is lovely i have seen on the forum lots of ppl deciding on overs or unders but im sure there are pros and cons to book. I heard unders are better if u havent got much tissue as will prevent rippling and less risk of capsular contraction just cant wait girlies counting down the days much love all xx

@xxxamieexxx I’ve found sleeping ok. I spent a bit extra and got a U pillow (longer than a normal V pillow) and actually practiced sleeping upright before my operation just so I knew I would be comfortable and definitely had everything I need. I chose my implant position solely based off of what my surgeon thought, he took into account my weightlifting and specific lifestyle stuff as well as tissue amount so I trusted him and went with subfascial. Under would have been a longer recovery and also weakened the chest muscle so I was leaning towards over or subfascial anyway xx

@KRISTY glad you are finding sleeping okay! I think mines a V pillow or U pillow lol! I see well i have got some tissue but dont know if its enough! I do go gym regularly and i have not had kids yet so im sure he will tell me what best! What is subfiscial and partial? Xx

@xxxamieexxx there are 3 implant positions, Subglandular (overs) Subfascial (partials) and submuscular (unders). The dual plane unders technique is often confused as partials when in fact it is sandwiched between two muscles and very different from subfascial.

The chest has 4 Basic layers – rib cage, 2 muscles, muscles fatty layer, skin. Overs is between muscles fatty layer and skin. Partials is between the top muscle and muscles fatty layer, unders is between rib cage and smaller muscle unless dual plane when it is under the top muscle but above the smaller pectoral muscle xx

@KRISTY that makes sense now so many girls mention overs, unders, sub now I can understand probably because i havent met the surgeon yet. But thats really helpful thanks! Xx

Yep and I wouldn’t worry too much @xxxamieexxx about what shape implant you get either. At your consultation if you hold both types up you’ll see the fluid drops to the bottom anyway so as long as a girl doesn’t get stupidly massive implants for her frame or tell the surgeon to give her a fake look, it’s highly unlikely she’d end up with that final result. After my surgeon showed me that, I laughed and the cons of the teardrop spinning round and rippling swayed me to rounds and silicone. Theres even a method called overfilling (literally what it sounds like) when it comes to saline implants to combat rippling so try not to get too bogged down in the details. They’ll look great no matter your choices because the surgeon is there by your side advising you and helping you achieve what you want to xxx
