Has anyone asked for a breakdown on their price?

Also has anyone asked for a petrol allowance. I’m travelling from newcastle to Preston and I just wondered if they’d give me anything towards petrol?

    Thanks x

It’s not a bad journey down to Preston, the hospital is only 2 minutes off the motorway, it’s main road all the way

Doesn’t matter if it’s an easy journey down there, I’m paying over five grand for this and most other places offer you travel expenses though, Mya seems to be the first one I’ve found that doesn’t.

I also thought the hospital stay overnight was included but apparently I was given a day rate price. I don’t see how they can charge £400 extra for an overnight stay in a hospital…

It’s cheaper to stay over night at a nearby hotel, that’s what I did! Ibis North is literally 2 minutes away and is cheap 🙂 xxx

I know but I think I’d rather stay in the hospital. I’ve never had anything like this done before or even had to stay in a hospital, I’m quite worried now.
Has anyone ever had any luck getting the price down so you pay a day rate but get the overnight stay?

I must admit I didn’t pay anywhere near £5000 but I was a day case and I’ve gone with the CUI implants, plus I got a late space and paid cash, I do think there is room for negotiation with them though

I am paying cash but I’m getting soft touch implants, and having an areola reduction too.

I’m paying in cash so I think it’s in their interest really. I will try and speak with my PC again

Have you had better quotes for the same procedure elsewhere? if so you could go armed with those quotes and see if they’ll match them

I didn’t stay over night but I can see why they charge £400. It is literally like a hotel, the food was lovely, the nurse was in every hour checking up etc. You have to realise that these aren’t NHS and you really are paying for the best and highest standards. The surgery is expensive but I always said to myself what’s an extra few hundred when I’m paying this month! I had a 2 and a half hour drive to my hospital and no travel allowance, to be honest I wouldn’t have asked. I don’t believe in free things and you only get what you pay for

I travelled from Durham to Preston and stayed overnight, it is expensive to stay but it is worth it if your worried but there is a nice hotel literally 5 mins away, you pass it on the way to the hospital I don’t think you’ll get any travelling expenses hun x

If you have a cheaper price from somewhere else for the same procedure they will match it well if you have a good PC xxx

Hey, im not from the area… BUT I didn’t pay anywhere near 5k either. I did ask for movement due to paying by cash. I would talk to your PC and see if there is movement depending on how you are paying. All the hospitals MYA use are private so I am assuming that’s why. Why don’t you ask if you can get a day case appointment? This could save the 400 they are charging. Im a day case- you can go into surgery anywhere between 7.30 am to 10.30. Hope this helps honey xxx

I got quotes from other companies and MYA priced matched, worth a try xx

‘Hi, I originally paid £3850 for naturelle resonsives and a day case, then i moved my date and there was only overnight stays left, which I was told would be another £400. I said i wasnt paying that so only ended up paying £200 more. So I paid £4050 for naturelle responsives with an overnight stay. I paid cash and this was £1000 off the original price quoted. You do get to stay in for free but only if there is a real reason why your not fit to go home x
