Purple scars at 6months post op?

hi ladies! im 6 months post op… and the scars haven’t slightly faded :/ they are rather purple? is it normal? how long u ladies waited til it faded?

I would recommend putting the silicone clear strips on (not gel), it helps but sadly some are more prone to scarring than others:( mine too are very dark 8 months later.

where can i get then hun? x

@nayma86 you need to speak to your clinic. It was my surgeon that recommended as mine is a big one from the corset, after the TT. It shouldn’t have been there. He did it during my re-argumentation today.

But they can do it at the local clinic..

@ariel Hi hun, I too have a scare from the corset I had to wear after lipo. Mine is on the side of my tummy. I was wondering what this was lol! I will need to ask about these too xx

@nayma86 Have they been exposed to the sun? I was told that that can cause your scars to go darker and stay that way.

@lisalili Definately keep an eye on it, make sure it doesn’t roll down in folds/ lines, that’s what did it for me. It just didn’t heal for over 8 weeks! Constantly raw and weeping, no infection, it got swapped twice. It refused to heal as it was always covered and humid. I had to undo the top 3 buttons and fold it out as I was shorter in torso than the corset, which is wh it was rolling down.

@ariel thanks hun. It was a binder corset. I have a Macom corset now which was so much more comfy but not wearing it at the moment but going to use it for waist training in a couple of weeks 🙂 xx

they have never been exposed to the sun or any tanning saloon at all :s
