i’m about 5 and a half weeks post op after an uplift and i have a hole that won’t heal, its been stitched up in my clinc by my surgeon but they didn’t take, so my nurse has sed i may need to get reopened so it can be closed properly, or i’ll need to be cut slightly under a local, since i can’t make it to the companies hospital, i’m at a&e, has anyone had a similar problem, did you need to get reoperated on or restitched, and how was the scar afterwards, i’ve been told a&e mite leave it to heal as hole, does anyone know if i have any rights regarding this?

Hello, I had uplift with implant and on the t junction had a big hole about size of a 10 pence piece that would not close. I had to go up to Preston to go under local anaesthetic and get it stitched closed again. After having my dressings changed every few days it healed ok. Xx

thanks, i think all i’ll need is a local but i’m quite annoyed that i’ve had to pay for transport to the hospital, i sort of feel they should be doin that since its a complication thats not my fault, and if i couln’t of lent the money to get there then i wouldn’t of been able to be seen and would of been left with a hole, i don’t think thats right, am glad to here it should only take a few days to heal after i’ve been restitched, tho i think i will have to be recut so i can be restitched and heal properly, did you have to take time of work after you’d been stitchedup again? x
