I had my reduction operation on the 25th. Happy so far but I’m struggling with sleeping and getting comfy.
I’ve bought a V pillow but still waking up with back or bum pains. Any tips you can share?

Hope your op went well Lindsey. I had mine in London. I’m off work for the next two weeks so once we’re up and moving it would be great if either of you or anyone else lives in London would want to maybe meet up and share stories/ tips?

Yes I got a Macon one! It’s been perfect! So excited for you to get your op over and done with. Honestly I can’t explain how much better I’ve felt then I thiught I would. I’ve hardly had any pain. Sleeping has been the worst part as I just haven’t been able to get comfy but it’s slowly getting easier.

Let me know if you have any more questions ????X

Hi Girls, I’ve been reading up a lot on recovery and preping for surgery and I’ve heard taking Arnica at least a couple of weeks before surgery will help speed your healing along as it helps with the bruising and swelling 😉

Sorry about the ??? They are suppose to me emoji’s.
Bianca I was so scared too but honestly there’s nothing to be scared about. I had a hematoma and had to go back to surgery 2 hours after for them to sort it… even with that I loved everything about it and I’d have it all done again if I had to :-). Money well spent on my eyes hah xx

    Oh really Lindsey!!
My consultant was saying that they do blood tests and stuff before hand to check your ok for surgery… how far in advance are these done?? Like before you pay or is it just on the day of surgery?
How long were you in the clinic before you went home?
Thanks that makes me feel more optimistic about doing it.. i cant wait for them to be lighter!
Hope you’re doing ok ffion xx

Unfortunately, I couldn’t have the operation done today. Nothing to do with me, surgeons decision due to a complication with the anaesthetist. I am gutted but one of those things that happens! I will update you on when I have it rescheduled for! X

    Ive booked my date aaaahhhh!!
Did something come up on your bloods or something like that!? I just found out i have a B12 deficiency so now taking supplements… thank goodness i found out and wasn’t left till surgery day as im sure they wouldn’t let it go ahead.

It was nothing to do with my health or me in general. Disagreement between my surgeon and the anaesthetist! Got given 12th March for the reschedule but my chaperone can’t get it off so I can’t go for that date unfortunately. Still absolutely gutted x

Hi girls, hope yous don’t mind me joining in! I’ve been reading the posts on here and had to share my experience. I am currently 9 days post-op. I had a breast reduction by Dr Giannis and I literally could not be happier. I wish I had spoken to people beforehand as I was really nervous but there is absolutely nothing to worry about. I went from a 32G/H to a 32 D/DD and I am in love with my new boobs! Do not be nervous when it comes to the pain after surgery, I was uncomfortable for the first few days but now I am in no pain! The worst thing for me is definitely sleeping as I saw some of you mention, I cant wait to be able to sleep on my back again! Other than that my experience has been so pain and stress free! I would love to hear about your experiences & am so excited for everyone who has their ops coming up!xx

    Hi ladies,
I hope you don’t mind me joining. I am booked for reduction surgery on 25 April in London, currently a 30g going to a dd/e
Phoebe your message almost bought tears to my eyes, I am booked with dr giannas also and really not feeling confident. More than a reduction I have wanted a boob lift for the last decade as I really wasn’t blessed in that department, and the size doesn’t help, and i feel all I am being told is that they’ll be lifted for a 2-3 months then will drop back. I’ve been on the phone to mya today to consider my options, I have a lot to think about over the weekend. Would any of you be willlng to share before and after pics?
Us reduction girls need to stick together! Xx

Hi again girls! I’m so glad my post helped yous! Ffion I would say I was on my Co-Codamol tablets for around four days after my op, I really didn’t get on with them, they just made me feel really spaced out and I hated it, I then just started taking paracetamol, but after about seven days I was no longer on any pain relief! Im currently 17 days post op and I looked at my boobs properly for the first time at my 2 week appointment, girls they are amazing! I’m going to upload some photos so you can see how much of a difference there is already.

Sam please don’t be nervous! My operation was also more about the lift than the size, of course my boobs were way too big for me, but they hung really low and I stressed to Dr Giannas that it really bothered me. He has literally made them sit in the perfect position, all of the people I have spoken to, including Dr Giannas told me that of course after a few months my boobs will drop slightly and won’t always sit where they are now, but I think once they have dropped they will look so natural, and compared to what I had before the change will still be massive.

One thing I have to say is ask as many questions as you need, before my surgery I was pretty much clueless and it really made me nervous about what I was walking in too, you really don’t see a lot of people on here, or on social media that talk about or share their reduction experiences! I’ve uploaded my “reduction story” on my MYA profile, not too sure how it works but if you can see that have a read as they asked loads of questions on there xx

(I’m going to try and upload some photos on here for you now but bare with me as i’m not sure how it works haha xx)

So girls these are my before pictures, also included the ones with Dr Giannas’ markings before surgery. At this point I was sooooo fed up of the size of my boobs that I wasn’t even nervous!

This was my first “before and after” picture! This was take at around 1 week post op. As you can probably see my boobs had not really settled, everyone tells you they can take months to sit properly and this is definitely something you have to remember. When I first saw them I was sooo happy but also kept picking things that I didn’t like, however when I look again two days later they had completely changed and some of the little things I didn’t like before were gone. You have got to be patient!

The second images I have literally just taken & I am 17 days post op. I have nude dressings on which makes it easier to see them. They still haven’t settled in to their shape but definitely look better than they did a week ago. I have pictures of the underneath of boobs, I don’t want to upload them unless someone asks as they are still bruised and do not look as good as these pictures haha. I’m just keeping in mind that patience is key!

Let me know if yous have anymore questions! I love talking about my experience as it has been so positive for me xxx

Hey Kayleigh! Thank you so much, I’m so happy with them and day by day they look even better. It has been the best thing I ever done, at first I was so worried that I was too young, as i’m only 21, but now I know I did the right thing! I can’t wait to see yours when their done! Thank you Ffion! Honestly its the best feeling I cant even describe the relief I feel now they’re done. It’s like you finally feel like you look right, because beforehand I literally used to say this isn’t my body and I hated it. I would definitely say if you feel unhappy with yours now, regardless of age it’s 10000% worth it. I get so excited thinking about others getting it done because I know you’ll love them and I have someone to talk too about it haha. Trying to describe the feeling to someone who isn’t going through it is so hard. What surgeon are you going with? xx

Hey Bianca! Thank you so much I literally love them more every time I look at them! Dr Giannas is so lovely as well he will come and see you before & after surgery and he made me feel confident! He has also kept my scars really small, the scar that goes underneath my boob is literally tiny & means I can show a bit of side boob without showing my scar! They are really neat so you’re 100% in safe hands! So excited for you & cant wait for you to be as happy as I am! Let me know if you have any questions xxx
