Ladies, I tried talking to him again last night and he’s so against me having BA. I told him I will have

    Menu

Claire, as i said before hun, go for it, end of the day the hubbys got to realise is what you want in long run, and if it’s something thats gonna make you happy then it should make him happy too.
I would just tell him, your not gonna change your mind, and you’d rather him be with you then against you
As i said in my previous post, my bf isn’t happy either but i think it’s just he’s worried about the risks, the fact he thinks they’ll look fake and feel really hard.

Heather, sorry I didn’t answer your question, I haven’t had a consultation as yet, I’ve just read a load of information to help me understand all the procedures involved. xxx

    Menu

Hey girls…thanks for your replies. Heather, aw hope you get your credit rating sorted. I understand how you feel about the anesthetic…there are risks with all operations and I think with BA there are a few options. For example, you could opt for a local anesthetic as opposed to a general, which means you will be awake throughout the whole procedure, but you won’t feel anything. These are aspects of surgery you can discuss at your consultation. Also, from what I’ve read, after the op antibiotics are given to prevent infection after the procedure. As for the way your mum feels, whilst she may have your best interests at heart, this op is about you, and how it will change you and your life and improve the way you feel about your body. Go with your heart Heather, this is about you, no one else. Make the choice for you.

Jacqui, thanks for your support. It means a lot to me to be able to talk to women who understand how I feel. And wow, how wonderful it was for your hubby to suddenly offer to pay for your bA for you birthday! Well done you! I don’t intend to give up, I think I will just save until end of the year and have the op in the new year (next year!). Maybe he will warm to the idea soon, who knows.

Best wishes girls, I’ll keep in touch hope you do too, good luck xxx

Claire, don’t give up hun will you. I first mentioned to my hubby that i wanted a ba about 15 years ago, and he was always against it. I have mentioned it on and off over the years, but never did anything about it as felt i couldn’t go ahead without his support. I just put it to one side really, and then out of the blue, last April he said to me ‘not sure what to get you for your birthday, so will pay for a ba if you still want one!!’ I thought he was joking at first, but he was serious.

I’m not saying it might take 15 years for your fella to agree with you having a ba, just don’t give up. If it is something you really want, then you will go ahead one day.

Keep us updated hun, and good luck xx

Hiya Heaher, thank you so much for your reply. Yes I’m still determined to do it for myself and if that means waiting so I don’t have to rely on support then so be it. Aw what I shame you chicked out at the last minute after your consultation. From what I’ve read in these forums, 150cc equals one cup size. All woman have a different amount of breast tissue and the same implants have different results for all woman. During a consultation the surgeon will discuss with you any issues you have with your breasts and what size you are hoping to achieve by having surgery. There a variety of implants in all shapes and sizes to choose from and your surgeon will help you choose a size that will be in proportion with your body frame. Hope this helps. So are you trying to decide whether to go through with the op? xxx

Hey all you lovely ladies, I’m new here and been considering breast enlargement for as long as I can remember! It’s only just recently that I’ve thought why not go for it for real this time! I’m in the process of arranging my first initial consultation and hoping to have the op beginning of June this year! My name is Claire and I am almost 31 years of age. I’m currently a 34B size 12/14 and I’ve been self-conscious about the size of my breasts for a long time! My boobs look okay in a wonder bra, I could prob get away with saying I was a C cup! But my breasts are really small without a bra! Finding clothes to compliment my small sized breasts is very hard to find!

I’ve been trawling a lot of websites recently and I’m only just now getting my head around all the different terminologies! High profile, low profile, moderate etc etc… I’m going to opt for a natural look, maybe go up to a small D cup, and from what I’ve read on here you’ve all been so helpful!

I work in an office and I’m looking to take a few weeks off work following my operation, but I don’t want to tell anyone in the office! Most of the people I work with are men of all ages!! And I’d be so embarrested! I’m getting the op done for my own self confidence and I current;y have a long term partner of over 7 years. And I would rather opt for time off and going back in as normal! This might seem a bit strange but I don’t like drawing too much attention to myself and although I’m 100% sure I want to go through with the op, can any of you lovely ladies who have had BA tell me what the first 3 weeks is like following the op? For instance, I notice that most of you mention ‘dropping’… Does this mean that immeditely after the op the breasts are quite high up initially and take time to settle? Has anyone who you didn’t tell noticed or mentioned the sudden size of your breasts?! I just know I’ll be a bit wary for the first few weeks back in work and after a few months I know I’ll settle down again in time.

Please post all your stories on this new discussion, I’d love to hear from you all.

    Best wishes,
    Claire xxx

My hubby was very supportive, although as i said he said he was happy with wihat i had anyway, but now i am much more confident. He said to me the other day, that i always use to hide my boobs from him, but since the op i am always flashing them at him !!!! hehe  As i said to him, i feel so much better about them now, and am happier to show them off :cheer: Roll on the summer, can’t wait to go bikini shopping xx

Heya Claire, I say go for it, if I had the money I’d deffo get mine done tommorow lol!
As for the fella not liking it, I know how it feels, mine keeps telling me mine are fine too, but I really hate them and am not gonna change my mind.
Hopefully he will come around and realise it’s what you want and it’s something thats gonna make you more confident in the long run

Yeah, size its so confusing isn’t it? Someone can be the same stats as you, have the same size implants and procedure but ends up a completely different size to you: confused:
Mr Traynor is doing my ba at Manchester. He is lovely. He has certainly gave me the reassurance that I needed. All MYA surgeons have fab reviews, so you are in good hands, no matter who you decide to go with.
I hope everything works out for you. xx

    Menu

Hey Lizzie… wow 340cc mhp… One way to ask yourself if you’re doing the right thing is to pretend that you’ve been refused the op…how would you feel then?

I think that’s a size I would go for but I’ve read so many conflicting stories on here… many girls have the same size but the results differ from one another. I guess I will just discuss my options in my consultation… As most of the girls have said in the forums, the surgeon knows best!! And how lovely it is that your fella is really supportive of you having BA. I do feel it’s important for a woman to feel good about herself, and apart from the size of my boobs which my fella has been aware of for almost 8 years, he knows how unhappy and self-conscious I am about my bust size. I’ve had a chat with him tonight and albeit begrudgingly he is willing to take me to Manchester or Liverpool, hopefully Thursday next week!! My fella knows how much it means to me and how happier I’ll be with my body… he’s come out with some concerns and I hope I’ve put his mind at rest.

Good luck for this Wednesday Lizzie!! This time next week you’ll have boobs!! :cheer::clap::crazy::swingin::thumbup:

:cheer:Yes please let me know how it goes, and to all the other ladies who have responded to my discussion!

    Hi Claire
I’m a 34a at the moment. I am having 340cc mhp (medium high profile) under the muscle, which should make me a very full c/small d. Don’t want them to be massive as I have a small frame and don’t want to look silly. My hubby, I don’t think was too keen on me having a ba at first, but is very suportive now as he realises how much it means to me and how desperately unhappy I am with my boobs.
I will let you know how things go. Not long now and you’re right about the mixed emotions!! I keep asking myself am I doing the right thing but I know its the only way of getting my confidence back!!!! xx

Hi Jacqui…thanks for your comment. Wow last August hey… good for you!! That’s exactly why I want BA…to feel more femimine and sexy. My small bust size doesn’t do me any justice for my frame. My bust just seems all out of proportion with the rest of my figure.

Well I had a call from MYA earlier to arrange my first consultation, but I couldn’t decide on any dates for next week so waiting for my other half to finish work this evening so I can discuss it more with him. I am hoping to arrange my first consultation for this Monday! My other half is warming to the idea but he’s not happy about it. Jacqui like you, I’m sure my fella will love the results as much as the original!

I’ll stay in touch on here and let all you lovely ladies know in due course how I’m getting on!

    Hi Claire,

I had my ba last August. Was a small 36B after breast feeding 3 babies, but as i use to wear very padded bras i probably looked a good C cup. I’m now a 36DD and NOBODY has said anything as i don’t look too much different in clothes unless i wear a tight top. It suits me just fine, as i didn’t want to tell anyone that i had had it done, but as soon as i’m naked they are lovely and big and make me feel more feminine. And hubby just loves them, although he was very happy with what i had, bless him , but he is much happier now with more of a handfull to play with!!!!! xx

    Hi Lizzie,

Wow this Wednesday?! I imagine you must be feeling a mixture of emotions! I’ve been reading lots of other experiences on here and yes it is making me feel all the more determined to pick up the phone for my first consultation!

I know it’s what I want, my partner is slightly against it (not totally, he is warming to it a little) which is why I haven’t made my appointment as yet…I don’t think he realises how serious I am about it and maybe he thinks it will all go away and that me having BA is just a pipe dream!

By May I know I’ll have the money to pay for the op and I’m also due to finish my first year of university in May which is why I’m waiting. Plus my holidays in work don’t start until May 1st which is another reason why I’m waiting! I want to take at least 2/3 weeks off work after my op to allow for the swelling and pain to go down. I’m hoping that no one will notice my BA in work! I’ve been thinking of buying a major padded bra leading up to the op so that after my op no one in work will notice any change!! ha ha! The things us girls do to avoid drawing too much attention!!

Yes this forum is fantastic! I’ve enjoyed reading about all the experiences and pre op and post op.

Keep in touch Lizze and let me know how it goes! By the way, sorry to be so nosey, what size are you now and what size are you hoping to up to?

    Hi Claire

You go for it girl!!! I get my ba done this Wednesday. I have never been happy with my boobs ever since I had my second child. (got 4 children and breastfed 3 of them. Not a pretty sight as you can imagine!!!!!) I was undecided at times as to wether to have a ba or not, but once you have your first consultation you will be much more positive about getting it done. Also this forum is great!! To be honest, it was reading everybody eles experience and post op stories on this site that actually made me decide to pluck up the courage and make an appointment for a consultation. I can’t wait for my op now!! New Year, New me, New boobs and hopefully a all load of confidence!!!

You will be fine hun once you have made the first step!! xx

    Menu

Wow thanks for your feedback girls. I’m still doing a lot of research. I’ve seen more before and after boobs than I’ve had hot dinners!!

A friend of mine had breast enlargement a few years back with a different company, and she had saline. I do believe that people wouldn’t notice BA…because I didn’t notice my friend had it done (I hadn’t seen her for a while and she was an A cup) but when she took her top off to show me, I was so shocked at how concealed BA can really be…and she is a D cup now! They look fanstastic! She used to wear chicken fillets all the time and padded bras and guess the difference in her size whilst wearing clothes wasn’t all that different or noticable…that is until she took her top off to show me!!

The love of my life isn’t all that happy about me getting BA, he says my boobs are fine as they are but I’ve never been happy with the size of my boobs. All my friends, family etc are blessed with bigs boobs and then there’s me. Well I’ve never felt so sure about BA, NEW YEAR NEW ME!!

I’m going to go for it and make an appointment for a consultation and hopefully arrange for my BA beginning of June!!

Thanks for the advice girls xxx

    Hia Claire

i had my BA 12th October and wouldnt go back for a second. I was worried that everyone would have something to say and that people would be talking about me behind my back. I went from a small 32/34 b and im now measuring in at 32f. Would you believe me if i said that people didnt notice id had it done? Most people on here wear baggy clothes after, one so that its not so noticable but also because it is really comfortable.

I was told not to wear a sports bra so i think that they did drop quite quickly although they wernt really high up on my chest.

Hope this helps you make your decision, its a big step but defo worth it!

    Menu

    Hi Claire

I was worried about the same thing but am sure you always wear shaped or padded bras so people will not notice the difference, the diff will be big to you but not to others! Am sure if they are a bit high at first you can buy some clothes to help disguise but sports bras squash them back dbown and thats what you have to wear for 6wks anyway!!

If anyone did pass comment just say you changed your form of contraception to a new pill or injection or something and your boobs have inflated as a result – bonus!!

Go for it – I am booked for 27th Jan!
